Sarah Ferguson was diagnosed with skin cancer earlier this year, but she is not currently undergoing treatment. In a recent interview with HELLO! magazine, the 64-year-old revealed that she is regularly checked and uses cream to address sun damage, which can result in big blisters on her face, chest, and hands for three weeks. Despite this, she is thankful that she does not require immunotherapy, medication, or chemotherapy for her condition.
The Duchess of York, mother to Princess Beatrice and Princess Eugenie, is facing her second cancer battle in a year. In June 2023, it was confirmed that Ferguson was diagnosed with breast cancer. Just six months later, a representative for Ferguson shared that she had also been diagnosed with malignant melanoma.
In January, a spokesperson for the royal family member revealed, "Her dermatologist recommended the removal and analysis of several moles while the Duchess was undergoing reconstructive surgery after her mastectomy. One of these moles has been identified as cancerous."
Ferguson shared in her HELLO! interview that her doctors advised her against saying she is “cancer-free.” Despite this, she remains optimistic about her health following her victories over breast and skin cancer.
