Instead of mailing your faulty Samsung phone, consider visiting a Batteries Plus location. Starting this fall, 35 Batteries Plus stores will now serve as Samsung Authorized Service Centers (ASC). This means they can offer same-day in-warranty repairs for Samsung devices in addition to the existing out-of-warranty repair services already provided by Batteries Plus.

In 2018, Batteries Plus became a Samsung Independent Service Provider (ISP). Under this partnership, Batteries Plus employees undergo Samsung training and gain access to genuine Samsung replacement parts. Now, as an Authorized Service Center (ASC), Batteries Plus can provide in-warranty repairs with a typical turnaround time of two hours or less. Furthermore, their employees will receive enhanced training and obtain various certifications. They will also be capable of servicing foldable phones and other non-standard devices.

Customers can conveniently schedule in-warranty repairs at Batteries Plus locations through the Batteries Plus website. In addition to Best Buy and other partners, Batteries Plus will also be listed in Samsung's Service Locator portal.

However, it is important to note that in 2023, only 35 Batteries Plus stores will become Samsung Authorized Service Centers (ASCs). With over 700 locations across the United States, there is a likelihood that your local Batteries Plus store may not be a Samsung ASC. On a positive note, Samsung assures that 80% of people in the U.S. live near an ASC. By utilizing the company's Service Locator portal, you can easily find same-day repairs in your area. Furthermore, for out-of-warranty repairs, there are numerous Samsung Independent Service Providers available.

Samsung's collaboration with iFixit deserves recognition. If your device is no longer under warranty or if you have a desire to do it yourself, you can purchase authentic Samsung parts from iFixit and carry out the repairs at home. However, if your phone is still covered by its warranty, I recommend visiting an ASC location. They offer affordable in-warranty repairs that are conducted by trained professionals.
