Ryan Phillippe Captures Precious Thanksgiving Moment With Daughter Kai

We know what Ryan Phillippe did this Thanksgiving: spent Turkey Day with his 12-year-old daughter, Kai.
Phillippe, 49, shared on Instagram Monday, November 27, a compilation of images from his Thanksgiving weekend, writing "Had an amazing Thanksgiving weekend with these lovely girls." The pictures show him smiling, driving with Kai in the passenger seat and her friends in the back, walking down a breezy street, stopping for Boba drinks, and riding through a snow-covered Christmas tree farm.
Phillippe and ex Alexis Knapp share a son, Kai, whom they welcomed in July 2011. They began dating in May 2010 and split just four months later in September. Knapp, who was 34 at the time, shared that their son was beginning to resemble her more and more as he grew up.
"She looks so much like me now," the Pitch Perfect actress told E! News in June 2012. "They always come out looking like the dads because men are just fat and puffy and can't open their eyes too much."
Knapp sees Kai as her mini-me, while Phillippe has also been noted for his resemblance to his other children, 22-year-old daughter Ava and 18-year-old son Deacon, whom he shares with ex-wife Reese Witherspoon.
“What I’ve been hearing a lot lately is that people think Deacon resembles her and Ava takes after me,” Phillippe shared with Extra in October 2022. “My response is always, ‘Duh… How are you surprised that children look like their parents? Isn’t that biologically how it’s meant to work?”

Philippe admitted to seeing a clear resemblance between himself and Deacon, but noted that his son actually looks more like Witherspoon's side of the family, while Ava takes after him. Philippe and Witherspoon married in 1999, but split in 2006 after seven years together. They have since focused on coparenting their two children.
"It’s a feeling-out process,” Phillippe told Huffpost in October 2014 of raising two children with Witherspoon post-divorce. “I think we’ve gotten to a really great place … It’s going well, and she’s happy and remarried, and our kids are incredible. I’m proud of the way we’ve handled it and who our little people are.”
