Rosalynn Carter, the former first lady, is now receiving hospice care at her residence in Georgia, as stated by The Carter Center on Friday. In a statement released on behalf of Jason Carter, the grandson of the Carters, it was mentioned that Rosalynn Carter and President Carter are currently together with their family, seeking privacy, and appreciating the immense love and support they have received.

No further information regarding Carter, 96, was immediately available. In May, the Center revealed that the ex-first lady had received a dementia diagnosis.

In February, President Carter, 99, commenced receiving home hospice care following several brief hospital visits.
