Rick the Door Technician Steals the Show in Star Wars Jedi: Survivor

Upon release, Star Wars Jedi: Survivor was plagued by numerous debilitating bugs, rendering the game unplayable for many players across all platforms, particularly PC. However, after a series of patches, players have reported a much more stable experience. In contrast to its predecessor, Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order, Jedi Survivor places a greater emphasis on humor. The game features overconfident Battle Droids and various amusing idle chatter that Cal Kestis overhears during his adventure. Some of the glitches in Survivor were even comical. But the clear standout joke was a boss fight.

Upon reaching the depths of the Imperial stronghold, players are introduced to Rick the Door Technician, a Stormtrooper who fancies himself a worthy adversary. However, Rick's boasting is quickly proven to be unfounded as he is easily dispatched by most players in a matter of seconds. Despite this, an official tweet from EA Star Wars reveals that a surprising number of players, 489 to be exact, were actually defeated by the comical character.

The Rancor boss fight in Survivor claimed the lives of an astounding 9 million players, which is understandable given that it's only the third boss encountered in the game. However, what's surprising is that Rick the Door Technician, who is encountered midway through the game, proved to be a challenge for players who should have been highly skilled Jedi by that point. Despite having survived numerous battles, nearly 500 players were defeated by a Stormtrooper who lacked combat prowess but made up for it with sheer determination. Interestingly, some players have even created alternate universe versions of Star Wars Jedi: Survivor where Rick the Door Technician is hailed as a hero of the Empire.
