Revamped and Phenomenal: Epic Isekai Sequel Shakes Up the Anime World!

A promotional video for Konosuba, an incredibly popular isekai anime, has just been released, confirming the highly anticipated season 3 and providing additional information. After a gap of almost 6 years since the successful season 2 aired, fans can now look forward to Konosuba: God's Blessing on This Wonderful World! 3 as part of the anime lineup in 2024.

The announcement was made at the Kadokawa Sneaker Bunko 35th Anniversary Festival. Konosuba unveiled a promotional video that introduced a fresh cast and announced the release of season 3 in 2024, though an exact date was not revealed. While Studio Deen was responsible for animating the first two seasons, Studio Drive will take the reins for the third season. Studio Drive has previously worked on popular anime such as Demon Slayer and My Dress-Up Darling. Yujiro Abe will be directing the new season, while Koichi Kikuta will serve as the character designer. Most of the original voice actors will be returning, and three new faces, namely Kanon Takao, Yahagi Sayuri, and Reina Ueda, will also join the cast.

The Long-Awaited Third Season Of Konosuba Is Almost Here

The Konosuba anime is an adaptation of the light novels written by Kurone Mishima and Natsume Akatsuki. The novels were serialized from 2013 to 2020 and consisted of 17 volumes. Due to the immense popularity of the light novels, an anime adaptation was released in 2016 as the first season. Konosuba has since expanded its universe with movies, spin-offs, and games, making it not only one of the most famous isekai series but also one of the most beloved anime. Season 3 will continue the story from where the previous season left off, following Kazuma, Aqua, Megumin, and Darkness as they embark on their journey to vanquish the Demon King. After unintentionally defeating the Demon King's general and gaining recognition, the group has become closer than ever in their shared mission.
