MrBeast, the famous content creator recognized for his generous acts and daring challenges, is expanding his reach beyond YouTube to Amazon Prime. Amazon made the announcement on Monday in a news release.
The new reality competition show, titled "Beast Games," will be available on Prime Video. According to Jimmy Donaldson, also known as MrBeast, the show will include over 1,000 contestants, a $5,000,000 prize, and numerous world records. In a post on X (formerly Twitter), he revealed that it will be the largest game show ever, boasting the highest number of contestants and the biggest cash prize. He shared this information during an interview on "The Colin and Samir Show" podcast.
Netflix once held the records for "Squid Game: The Challenge," a reality competition series based on the hit dystopian show. The show, released in November, had 456 participants competing for a cash prize of $4.56 million.
Donaldson chose to host his show on Amazon because he wanted more creative control. Amazon announced that he will host and executive produce the show.
