Players can easily adjust the difficulty settings of their game without having to exit their current session or create a new character. To make the game's challenges harder or easier, players should consult the World Stone located in Ward 13. This process, known as rerolling the campaign, can only be done from the stone in Ward 13. If players are in other worlds, they must first return to Ward 13.
In the World Map menu, players will find a section at the bottom of the rotating menu called World Settings. Here, they can view the current mode they are in (Campaign or Adventure) and the symbol representing their current difficulty setting. To change the difficulty, players need to access the settings menu and choose the Reroll Campaign option. This will prompt them to select a new difficulty for their campaign before asking for confirmation. For a more detailed guide on how to do this, please refer to the video above.
What Players Should Know First About Rerolling
Campaign Progress Is Wiped
It is crucial to understand that by rerolling a campaign, all the progress made by a player in the previous campaign will be forfeited, and they will be presented with a fresh start. This implies that the primary storyline will commence anew, irrespective of the number of worlds a player has conquered. Therefore, this choice should be made after careful deliberation.
The New Campaign Won't Be The Same As The First One
In contrast to other games in the Soulslike genre, Remnant 2 distinguishes itself by incorporating procedurally changing worlds. This fascinating feature ensures that each player's dive into the game will present them with unique environments, setting it apart from the experiences of other players. Additionally, restarting a campaign will also result in a distinct outcome, as the dungeons, quests, and overall structure of the world will differ from one campaign to another.
Additionally, players can expect the rerolled world to have variations from the original one due to the non-linear structure of the game's world. This unique feature allows players to begin their campaign from any dimension within the game. As a result, Remnant 2 stands out as one of the most replayable titles in recent memory.
Players Keep Their Character Build
Restarting a campaign may seem tedious, but players will retain all their weapons and loot from their previous journey. This is especially beneficial for those who found the game challenging, as even on the lowest difficulty, they can begin the campaign again with a clear advantage. This allows newer players to be better prepared and equipped for success in the campaign. Remnant 2 is now accessible on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X/S, and PC.
