Bethesda releases an update for Redfall that adds a 60 frames per second option, addresses glitches, and improves combat and performance.

The game's initial flawed launch resulted in negative feedback and a decrease in the player base, as many players stopped playing it. While the recent update has made significant improvements, it is unclear whether it will revive interest and attract former players or if the damage has already been irreparable.

Bethesda has finally released an update for Redfall, the highly anticipated vampire co-op shooter, which introduces the long-awaited option of playing at 60 frames per second. This update holds significance as Redfall, developed by Arkane Austin and published as a first-party Xbox game, garnered a considerable amount of hype before its launch. However, the game unfortunately suffered from numerous technical issues, resulting in negative reviews and the loss of many fans.

Initially, Redfall managed to gather a decent player base, but the numbers quickly plummeted as players became disillusioned with its technical flaws. In fact, the game's concurrent player count on Steam recently reached single-digit figures, reflecting the significant decline in popularity. While it remains uncertain whether Redfall can win back its disappointed fans, both Bethesda and Arkane refuse to give up on the game. As evidence of their commitment, the second major update for Redfall is now available for download, containing several noteworthy improvements to enhance the overall gaming experience.

The game's latest update, Redfall, addresses a major complaint from fans by introducing 60 FPS. This update also aims to tackle various glitches and technical issues that have plagued the game since its initial release. Apart from that, players can now utilize stealth takedowns and experience improved combat through increased enemy count in the expansive open world. On paper, this update appears to be a significant one for Redfall. However, whether or not it can successfully win back lapsed players remains uncertain.

Redfall's Game-Changing Update Surpasses Fan Expectations!

Bethesda is not giving up on Redfall, as evidenced by this update. However, the poor state of the game at launch may have already caused irreparable damage. With so many other games available, it is uncertain if this update will be enough to revive the co-op vampire shooter and regain its relevance. If players do give Redfall a second chance, there is a possibility of future content drops to prolong its lifespan. However, fans should not get their hopes up.

While the fate of Redfall is uncertain, Arkane fans can anticipate new titles from the studio. Although Arkane has not officially announced its next project, leaks suggest that Dishonored 3 is actively being developed. Given Arkane's success with the Dishonored franchise, this may be the opportunity for the studio to regain the trust of disappointed fans.

GAMEPLAY

Improvements have been made to the default Aim-Assist and Dead Zone tuning, providing players with more options to customize these settings for both Controller and Keyboard/Mouse. Arkane Recommendations: For fans of fast-paced multiplayer FPS games, we suggest trying out the Medium, High, or Linear Input Response Presets as they tend to offer a faster and more responsive overall experience.

If you prefer a slower pace in single player FPS games, consider trying the Default, Low, or Medium Input Response Presets. These presets offer response curves that provide a greater sense of aim precision.

Modifying your Controller Sensitivity from the default value in the Input Response Presets will directly impact the speed at which you turn left or right.

If you increase your Controller Sensitivity, you may want to experiment with Default/Strong/Very Strong Aim Assist Strength and ADS Snap Strength to benefit from additional assistance.

On the other hand, if you decrease your Controller Sensitivity, it is recommended to use Very Weak/Weak/Default Aim Assist Strength and ADS Snap Strength presets to avoid struggling to maintain control over your aim.

Exploring the Input Response Preset setting is an effective starting point to discover optimal controller settings for your needs.
