How did we get on last weekend?
Jones Knows is going for an attacking approach, placing a bet on James Maddison's shots angle at 100/30 in what promises to be an exhilarating derby match between Arsenal and Tottenham. The match will be broadcast live on WeTV.How did we get on last weekend?
Despite my expert predictions and well-informed suggestions in my Premier League prediction column, I seem to struggle when it comes to the actual bets in this 'best bets' section, which is typically my forte. It's become a separate skill to effectively choose which bets to feature as official plays, and unfortunately, I've been struggling with it this season so far.Gustavo Hamer caught my attention as a player for Sheffield United during the last weekend's match against Spurs. His impressive shot on target price and goalscorer price stood out. However, I made the regretful decision of not including him in the best bets list. Naturally, he scored first at outstanding odds of 22/1.
To make matters worse, Crystal Palace's devastating collapse in the late stages of their game at Villa Park resulted in the failure of the 9/2 treble bet. Lewis Dunk committed a foul against Manchester United at incredibly favorable odds of Evens. Additionally, the under 3.5 goals line in the Bournemouth vs Chelsea match turned out to be a safe bet. Perhaps you may have considered predicting a 0-0 draw here, with odds of 14/1? That was clearly a missed opportunity.
Palace simply needed to secure a victory to avoid defeat, which seemed highly likely when they had a 1-0 lead with only 88 minutes remaining. Aston Villa, who were considered highly unlikely to win with odds of 100/1, managed to turn the game around, aided by a controversial referee decision. This unexpected outcome was a painful blow, reminiscent of a kick to a sensitive area.
Furthermore, Bryan Mbeumo's inability to score meant another disappointment, resulting in a net loss of -3 points for the weekend and a total deficit of -8 points for the season. Clearly, there is work to be done. It is crucial to make more informed decisions, Lewis.

2pts on Man Utd to win & under 2.5 goals vs Burnley (4/1 with Sky Bet - Bet Here!)
With Sky Bet offering odds of 8/11, it's difficult to dispute the team's chances of winning, especially when considering their exceptional away record against lower-ranked opponents. Last season, they secured 25 out of 30 possible points and only conceded five goals in the ten matches played on opposing grounds. The lone defeat occurred against West Ham, a team that ultimately won a European trophy, suggesting that their classification as a lower-ranked side may be misleading. Under the guidance of manager Erik ten Hag, this team has proven their ability to win in challenging situations - and they will likely adopt a similar approach in this upcoming match. Moreover, in nine out of the ten away matches played against lower-ranked teams last season, the total goals scored did not exceed 2.5. In fact, the average goal output in these matches was just 1.6 per 90 minutes. These statistics make the odds of 5/4 with Sky Bet for under 2.5 goals incredibly enticing. If we factor in a potential victory for the team, the odds climb to an appealing 4/1. This bet would have been successful in half of United's games against the bottom 10 teams last season. The value lies in the 4/1 odds, which essentially require United to triumph by either 1-0 or 2-0 - a significant opportunity.
1pt on James Maddison to have two or more shots on target (4/1 with Sky Bet - Bet Here!)

Arsenal vs Spurs, live on We
I desire to support the Spurs attack in the prop markets. I am particularly intrigued by James Maddison and the price associated with his shots on target. He is thriving as the center of attention for Ange Postecoglou to such an extent that he has had more shots on target and created more chances per 90 minutes this season compared to Harry Kane's performance last season, although we are working with a limited data set.
With that being said, Maddison's total of 11 shots on target is surpassed only by Erling Haaland (16), and he has managed to have at least one shot on target in every Premier League match while wearing a Spurs shirt. This makes the odds of 4/6 with Sky Bet for him to have at least another shot on target very appealing, and I would also recommend considering the odds of 100/30 for him to register two or more shots on target.
