What are the key dates for the 2023/24 season?

The Premier League season will kick off on the weekend of August 11-13 and conclude nine months later on May 19 2024.

To alleviate the busy schedule during the Christmas and New Year period, a mid-season player break is scheduled for January 14-20, with no two rounds taking place within 48 hours of each other. The Carabao Cup final is set for February 25, the Europa League final will take place in Dublin on May 22, and the Champions League final will be held at Wembley Stadium on June 1.

Champions League group stage match dates:

Group stage matches will be played on six different matchdays: September 19/20, October 3/4, October 24/25, November 7/8, November 28/29, and December 12/13. After the group stage, the top two teams from each group will advance to the round of 16, which will take place on March 5/6 and 12/13, 2024. The quarter-finals will be held on April 9/10 and 16/17, 2024, followed by the semi-finals on April 30/May 1 and May 7/8, 2024. The final will be played on June 1, 2024.
