Richard Beck, the son of Zachary Beck played by Anthony Michael Hall, is portrayed as a sensitive and artistic college student. He was a victim of a traumatic kidnapping five years ago, which left him mutilated.
Quinn, a major villain from the Reacher novel Persuader, will be joined by new allies. Guillermo Villanueva, mentor and father figure to agent Susan Duffy (played by Sonya Cassidy), is described as paunchy with bad knees and a good-natured sense of humor. He deeply cares for Duffy, despite their playful banter.
Lastly, Steven Elliot is introduced as a clean-cut rookie DEA agent. He is portrayed as a lovable guy who is fresh-faced, new to the job, and still in the learning process.
