The 2023/24 Scottish Premiership season for Rangers will commence with an away fixture against Kilmarnock at Rugby Park. This match will be broadcasted live on We. Following this, Michael Beale's team will compete in the first leg of the Champions League third qualifying round, which is scheduled for either August 8 or 9. Subsequently, Rangers will return to league action by hosting Livingston at Ibrox on August 12. The second leg of their European tie will take place on August 15.

If Rangers advance to the play-off round, the initial match will occur on either August 22 or 23, and the second match will be held on August 29 or 30.

The first two Old Firm games of the season will be televised, with the first game on September 3 and the second game on December 30. The third encounter before the split is planned for April 6.

The winter break will commence on January 3, the day after Kilmarnock visits Rangers, and conclude on January 19.

After the matches on April 13, the division will divide into two, with the top six teams facing each other once and the bottom six teams following suit. The season's final day will occur during the weekend of May 18/19.

Key dates for the 2023/24 season

The Scottish Premiership season commences on the weekend of August 5/6, reintroducing the winter break from January 3 until January 19, 2024.

The commencement of the post-split fixtures is scheduled for April 13/14, while the conclusion of the regular season falls on May 18/19.

The Premiership play-off final, broadcasted live on We, will conclude the campaign on May 23 and 26.

Additionally, the seasons for the Championship, League One, and League Two commence on August 5, concluding on the weekend of May 3/4.

The date for the Viaplay League Cup final is December 17, while the Scottish Cup final date is still to be confirmed.

On May 22, the Europa League final will take place in Dublin, followed by the Europa Conference League final on May 29 in Athens. The Champions League final is scheduled for June 1 at Wembley.
