Prince William flew to Singapore for two notable royal engagements, but he didn’t have Princess Kate by his side.
During his speech at the United for Wildlife summit on Monday, November 6, William, aged 41, addressed his wife's absence. The Prince of Wales expressed Catherine's regrets for not being able to attend and explained that she was aiding their son George in his important exams. Both aged 41, William and Kate have three children: Prince George, aged 10, Prince Louis, aged 5, and Princess Charlotte, aged 8. Kensington Palace had already confirmed in September that Kate would stay with the children in Windsor while William traveled for the United for Wildlife event and the 2023 Earthshot Prize Awards Ceremony. Notably, Kate had attended the first Earthshot Prize event in London in 2021 and its subsequent gathering in Boston in 2022.
William recently reminisced about his unforgettable visit to Singapore with Kate, which took place 11 years ago. The trip was made on behalf of the late Queen Elizabeth II's Diamond Jubilee celebrations in 2012. "I'm thrilled to be here again," he expressed.
Despite being married since 2011, Kate and William's relationship has experienced its fair share of challenges. "Like any other couple, Kate and William have faced their ups and downs," a source exclusively revealed to We magazine last month. "However, they remain committed to their royal responsibilities and tackle them together."

William and Kate's marriage has had its ups and downs, but a second insider revealed in September that they are now more synchronized than ever. They truly appreciate and value their bond with each other. Family always takes precedence for them and will always remain their top priority.
The second source shared that the passing of Elizabeth in September 2022 profoundly affected the royal couple. It has undeniably been a challenging year for them, but William and Kate have shown remarkable strength in the midst of such adversity, earning admiration from everyone around them, as stated by the insider to Us.
More than ten years into their marriage, William and Kate continue to admire each other. According to the second source, "William openly admits that he couldn't manage without Kate, and she reciprocates the sentiment."
Prince William recently visited Singapore on his own, but his children, George and Charlotte, have been accompanying their parents on public outings more often. In a recent event, George showed his support for Wales in the Rugby World Cup while matching his outfit with his father's in France. Charlotte also had her own moment in August when she cheered for the English women's soccer team ahead of the FIFA Women's World Cup finals.
William and Kate are instilling their shared passion for sports in their children. During an interview on Mike Tindall’s podcast, "The Good, The Bad, & The Rugby," the prince expressed how the team dynamic in sports greatly influenced his life. He spoke fondly of the exhilaration he felt being surrounded by the fear, noise, and competitiveness alongside his mates and team.
In addition, William highlighted the importance of learning how to handle defeat gracefully, emphasizing this valuable life lesson, especially for their children. He stressed the significance of understanding the reasons behind losing and growing from that experience.
