Prince Harry and Meghan Markle paused their Invictus Games engagements to mark his 39th birthday. The Duke and Duchess of Sussex, 42, opted for Im Goldenen Kessel, a German eatery in Düsseldorf, as reported by the Daily Mail.

According to Thea Ungermann, the owner of the establishment, Harry and Meghan, who are currently in Germany for the 2023 Invictus Games, had a delightful time. They also took a photo with Ungermann and her staff. Harry was dressed in a gray button-down and jeans, while Meghan wore white skinny jeans, a maroon striped shirt, and carried a Cuyana handbag.

According to the restaurant staff, Harry and Meghan had the opportunity to taste a variety of traditional dishes from the country. Head waiter Frank Wackers shared with the Daily Mail that Harry indulged in "six small beers" before savoring wiener schnitzel, pork knuckle, sausage, and plates of roast and mashed potatoes.

Prince Harry and Meghan Markle joyfully celebrated his 39th birthday in advance, indulging in beers and savoring traditional German delicacies at a renowned brewery and restaurant in Düsseldorf. According to Wackers, who had the fortune of encountering the royal couple, they exuded delightful personalities and were charmingly pleasant. He also shared that Harry playfully made a witty remark about the quality of the alcoholic beverage he was served, reassuring Wackers that his life was not in danger for even a moment.

The restaurant ensured a complete birthday celebration by providing a special cake. The British outlet reported that Harry received a white chocolate cake following a performance of "Happy Birthday."

By the conclusion of the evening, Ungermann discovered that Harry personally settled the bill and generously left the staff a substantial gratuity.

Harry and Meghan, who have two children - a 4-year-old son named Archie and a 2-year-old daughter named Lilibet, arrived in Germany individually earlier this month to attend the Invictus Games. The games were co-founded by Harry in 2014. Harry began the tournament on September 9th, while Meghan joined him a few days later.
