Actress Sienna Miller has publicly addressed the criticism she has received for becoming a mother again at 41 and for her 14-year age difference with her partner. Expecting a baby girl with 27-year-old actor Oli Green, the "American Woman" star spoke out against the unfair treatment and double standards she has faced, calling the narrative around her relationship "misogynistic."
Miller recently stated on Vogues podcast that people seem to be content with the long-standing, misogynistic, and patriarchal way of living. She spoke about the double standards and unquestioned beliefs surrounding being an older woman in a partnership with a younger person or being pregnant over the age of 40. She deemed these beliefs as absurd and irresponsible.
Miller added, "I find that judgment to be so one-sided and incredibly sad." She is already the mother of 11-year-old Marlowe from a previous relationship with actor Tom Sturridge, and her second daughter, her first with Green, is due early next year.

In an interview with British Vogue, published Wednesday, she described the fatigue at having to keep up with the conversation surrounding her age.
"I would like to reach a place where I don't feel the urge to joke about being older and having a baby," she expressed to the magazine.
Regarding the 14-year age gap between her and "The Crown" actor, Miller commented on the "awareness of the dynamics that come into play in relationships between men and women, which we simply didn't have 20 or 25 years ago."

Sienna Miller's quaint English country cottage was a charming setting for our conversation. She shared, "I feel like my entire teenage years were spent navigating unwanted attention and advances in a careful manner so as not to offend anyone. Meanwhile, the girls he grew up with probably had the confidence to simply say 'No, thank you' and move on." She further explained that these differing experiences were influenced by the different eras in which they grew up.
Miller reminisced about their first meeting at a Halloween party, where a kiss was shared but she was hesitant about starting a relationship. She went on to mention how he persistently convinced her to go out for a drink, and even recalled a time when their friend Emily Blunt joined them as an "unnecessary wingwoman" on one of their early dates in New York.
For Miller, age is just a number. "I dont think you can legislate on matters of the heart," she added.
