Blake Lively, Jana Kramer, and other celebrity moms are perfect examples of fitness enthusiasts, even while being pregnant. The former star of "Gossip Girl" revealed her pregnancy with husband Ryan Reynolds in September 2022, yet she persisted in maintaining her exercise regimen until delivery.
Lively's personal trainer, Don Saladino, revealed exclusively to We in October that they are closely monitoring the ballistics aspect of her training regimen. Their focus is on eliminating any form of jumping and avoiding cardio exercises, instead opting for more stationary exercises.
On the other hand, Kramer initially felt cautious about engaging in workouts during her pregnancy with son Jace, who she co-parents with her ex-husband Mike Caussin, due to her previous experience with miscarriages.
"Following my doctor's assurance of my well-being, I had to place my trust in it," disclosed the former One Tree Hill star in an exclusive interview with Us in October 2018. "I believe that engaging in physical exercise will accelerate my recovery. Throughout my life, working out has consistently uplifted my spirits and boosted my energy levels. ... Comparatively, I find this pregnancy to be much more enjoyable due to my improved sense of health."

Expectant Celebrities Show Off Their Pregnancy Workouts: Blake Lively, Karlie Kloss and More
Blake Lively, Jana Kramer and more celebrity moms are complete fitness goals — even during pregnancy.
In September 2022, the former Gossip Girl actress revealed that she was expecting her fourth child with her husband, Ryan Reynolds. Despite being pregnant, she continued to maintain her workout routine. Her personal trainer, Don Saladino, shared in an exclusive interview with We in October that they were being cautious with her exercise regimen. They decided to eliminate any activities involving jumping and focused on keeping her workouts more stationary by avoiding cardio.
Initially cautious, Kramer hesitated to exercise during her pregnancy with her son Jace, whom she had with her former husband Mike Caussin, due to her previous miscarriages.
"After my doctor assured me that it was safe, I had to trust it," the actress, known for her role in "One Tree Hill," shared exclusively with Us in October 2018. "I believe that exercising will aid in my postpartum recovery. Working out has always boosted my mood and energy...I prefer this pregnancy much more than my first because I feel healthier."

"I haven't been a dedicated yoga enthusiast in the past, but during my pregnancy, I have primarily engaged in prenatal yoga," Hudson revealed to InStyle in June 2018 while expecting her third child, daughter Rani. "I have genuinely found it enjoyable, and I have appreciated the partnership with my yoga instructor. Practicing yoga during pregnancy is a unique process focused entirely on nurturing the baby, which provides a wonderfully uplifting sensation."
Hudson — who shares Rani with partner Danny Fujikawa — also coparents sons Ryder and Bingham with exes Chris Robinson and Matt Bellamy, respectively.

“It’s not about your outward appearance, but rather about how you feel. When you have a positive self-image, feel confident, healthy, and full of energy, it motivates everyone to do their best,” Kerr stated exclusively to Us in 2019, discussing her mindset towards exercising while pregnant with her third child. Johnson is used to staying in shape as an Olympic gymnast, but she made sure to adapt her program when she was expecting kids Drew and Jett.
Exclusively in an August 2019 interview with Us, Johnson, who has children with husband Andrew East, expressed that despite feeling exhausted and lacking energy, her motivation stems from the fact that she is not just taking care of her own body but also her baby's well-being. She believes that if exercise and a healthy diet benefit her child, she can easily justify pushing through regardless of how her body feels. Back in April 2019, Johnson had mentioned to Us that her daily routine centered around CrossFit and running.

Nielsen, who is also a personal trainer, continued to do ab workouts when she expecting daughter Andara — even when eight months pregnant.
Nielsen's intense workout during her pregnancy sparked skepticism among social media users. However, OB-GYN and Married to Medicine star, Dr. Simone Whitmore, reassured that it was safe. Whitmore stated in March 2021 that research shows women who exercise have an easier time during labor and delivery compared to those who do not. She emphasized that an ab workout is permissible as long as it does not physically harm the mother. For low-risk pregnancies without large babies, multiples, or a history of preterm labor, Whitmore deemed the workout completely safe.
Whitmore did note that she only recommends women do a “strenuous” exercise routine if they worked out regularly before pregnancy.

Khloe Kardashian
In January 2018, Kardashian expressed her gratitude for being able to stay physically active during her pregnancy. She shared on her website that she feels incomplete if she's not engaged in some form of activity. Although she acknowledged that she can't push herself as hard as she did six months ago and will need a few more months before she can resume intense workouts, she's committed to doing what she can.
Before her workout, Kardashian, who is a mother to daughter True and son Tatum (born through a surrogate in 2022) with her ex Tristan Thompson, performed cardio and circuit training as a warm-up. She then proceeded to do shoulder raises and squats.

Pippa Middleton
Princess Kate’s younger sister kept in shape amid her three pregnancies by following her personal trainer Ashley Verma’s recommendations.
Verma recalled in April 2021 how Middleton desired to feel secure and confident in her evolving body. The focus was on building confidence and improving posture during pregnancy, as the baby's weight tends to exert pressure. The aim was to maintain strength and sculpt the body while prioritizing safety. Verma guided Middleton through exercises involving hand weights and leg lifts, emphasizing the use of a pillow for added support during floor work. The overall goal was for Middleton to feel comfortable in her body amidst the significant changes.

In October 2018, Kramer, who had previously announced her pregnancy with fiancé Allan Russell in May 2023, shared a unique insight into her workout routine during this special time with Erin Oprea.
At the time, the “I Got the Boy” songstress was fond of banded squats, bicep curls, squat rows and banded chest presses using a resistance band.
