For Mother’s Day this year, celebrity moms are thinking about how they would like to celebrate. They have different ideas, from relaxing spa days to fun talent shows.
Niecy Nash-Betts shared her thoughts with We, saying, “I spend my time entertaining others. So for Mother’s Day, I want to be entertained. I would love for my loved ones to put on a talent show for me. Each person should have their own special talent to share, and also do a group performance. I just want to sit back and enjoy without having to do anything myself.”
Nash-Betts, 54, is married to Jessica Betts and has three children with her ex-husband, Don Nash - Dominic, 32, Donielle, 29, and Dia, 24. She expressed her preferences for Mother's Day, saying, "I don’t want to cook food. I want the pool on, decorations, accessories, and lovingly received gifts. Money doesn't matter to me. Just bring me presents because I'm the mother."
Busy Philipps shared her ideal Mother's Day plans with a touch of humor. She said, "My perfect Mother's Day would be a fun brunch with my daughters, not my girlfriends, but my actual children. Maybe a mani-pedi session with them could be enjoyable. And spending time outside in the sun, having fun at a park. Does that sound strange? I'm not sure."
Philipps, 44, has two daughters, Birdie, 15, and Cricket, 11, with her ex-husband, Marc Silverstein. She recently talked to Us magazine about parenting after the pandemic and also in support of Mental Health Awareness Month.
Speaking about her oldest daughter Birdie, who is currently studying at a boarding school in Sweden, Philipps expressed her pride in her daughter and the person she is becoming. She mentioned that Birdie is quite independent, taking after her mother. Philipps also acknowledged the challenges that kids have faced in the past few years, especially during the pandemic, and how they are now eager to spend time with their peers.
