In Pokemon Sleep, there are several new features and mechanics that deviate from Niantic's customary formula. However, one divisive characteristic that Pokemon fans are already acquainted with is the ability to remove Pokemon.
Similar to Pokemon GO, Researchers in Pokemon Sleep have the option to send away undesirable, surplus, or weak Pokemon in order to free up storage space. Nevertheless, locating the discard button in this game is not as straightforward as in earlier versions, which is why novice Researchers may find this guide helpful.
How to Permanently Remove a Pokemon in Pokemon Sleep
In Pokemon Sleep, players have the option to remove a Pokemon from their Box by sending it to the Professor. To do this, they need to tap the Poke Ball icon on the world map, open the Pokemon Box, select a Pokemon, and then choose "Send to Professor" from the hamburger menu located in the bottom-right corner.
Sending a Pokemon to the Professor will permanently eliminate it from the Pokemon Box, and this decision cannot be reversed. Players are recommended to discard any creatures they no longer wish to utilize.
Players who are running out of space and do not wish to remove any Pokemon have the option to enlarge the Box. Simply by tapping the "Expand" button located in the top-right corner, players will be able to store more Pokemon in exchange for some Diamonds.
How to Remove a Pokemon from the Team
Note: The placeholder "h1_placeholder_1" must be kept and included in the output.
To modify the team composition, players need to access the "Edit Team" menu and follow certain steps. They are required to select a Helper Team, tap on the avatar of a specific Pokemon, and then opt for the "Remove" option located at the bottom. This course of action will effectively remove the chosen creature from the team and relocate it back to the Pokemon Box.
To locate a specific Pokemon within your team, simply tap the magnifying glass icon and enter its registered name, or utilize the available filters. This functionality comes in handy when players aim to identify Shiny Pokemon prior to removing any unwanted ones from their collection.
Restoring a previously removed Pokemon is a simple process: navigate to the "Edit Team" section, select one of the vacant slots, and tap on the avatar of the Pokemon that was removed.
What Happens After Removing a Pokemon
When a player opts to permanently remove a Pokemon, they will be rewarded with a few Candies from the Professor. However, there is no possibility of buying back the lost Pokemon. In this scenario, the only way to revive the creature would be to make friends with another.
On the other hand, in the case of temporary removal, the Pokemon is transferred to the Pokemon Box, allowing players to add it back to their team whenever they want. This action has no impact on any statistics or levels, and there are no restrictions on how many times it can be executed.
Pokemon Sleep is available now for mobile devices.
