Phaedra Parks clarified why she invited her ex-husband Apollo Nida to the Married to Medicine reunion. She explained that there were rumors about their relationship being confrontational, but she wanted to set the record straight. Parks emphasized that she and Apollo have known each other since the '90s and have two children together. Despite their past, they remain friends and will always have a positive relationship.
Parks and Nida were married for five years before the former Real Housewives of Atlanta star filed for divorce in 2014. Despite their split, the couple has continued to coparent their two sons Ayden, 13, and Dylan, 10.
Even though Nida did not make an appearance on Parks' first season of Married to Medicine, previews have shown the couple reuniting for the Season 10 reunion, scheduled to air on Sunday, March 17. Parks mentioned that she wanted to give her costars the chance to ask Nida any pressing questions they might have.
"The ladies love to mention his name and gossip or make threats, but I always back up my words with evidence," she shared with Us at the SLS Hotel in Beverly Hills. "I brought him along so they could ask him any questions they had, and he was prepared to answer."
According to Parks, if viewers are looking for drama between these two, they should search elsewhere.

"We’ve always been in a good place," she said. "Good news isn't usually highlighted in the media. People enjoy hearing about conflict, but when it comes to Apollo, he only fights for me."
Parks, known for her previous appearance on Real Housewives of Atlanta for seven years, faced criticism from viewers questioning her role on Married to Medicine as she is not married to a doctor. However, the Bravo star clarified that she was previously in a relationship with a cardiologist that didn't work out. She also mentioned her other professional endeavors as reasons for her being a suitable cast member on the show.
"I believe I am as close to life as I am to death," she shared. "As a Reiki healer, I work to heal, and as a mortician, I send souls to the afterlife. My work is a unique blend of medicine and spirituality, providing a different kind of healing."
When asked about her preferences between filming Real Housewives of Atlanta and Married to Medicine, Parks mentioned that they offer two distinct experiences.
She mentioned that she didn't want to come across as too aggressive when she decided to join Married to Medicine. She had already known all the women before filming started, but she wanted to form her own opinions by getting to know them personally. Overall, she found it to be a positive experience.
You can catch Married to Medicine on Bravo on Sundays at 9 p.m. ET. If you miss an episode, you can stream it the next day on Peacock.
