Limited Run Games, a company known for producing physical editions of games, is offering surprise physical editions of Persona 4 Golden for select platforms. Pre-orders for these editions will begin in late October. The physical releases range from a basic box with a game disc to a special collector's edition that includes Persona 4 Golden-themed merchandise and items. Although the game originally released on the PS Vita in 2012, it has since been brought to modern platforms such as the PC and previous console generations. Now, fans have the opportunity to own a physical copy of the game through Limited Run Games.

LRG offers a physical version of Persona 4 Golden for various gaming consoles, including PS4, Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S, and Nintendo Switch. These special editions are similar to Limited Run Games' physical release of Persona 3 Portable. Pre-orders for these editions are open from October 27 to December 10, giving a limited window to secure your order.

There are two options available: the standard box and disc format priced at $34.99, and the Grimoire Edition. The Grimoire Edition includes a physical copy housed in a SteelBook with a special box and slip cover inspired by Le Grimoire, the Persona summoning compendium. The Grimoire Edition is priced at $69.99.

The highest-tier version of this release is the special Midnight Channel Edition, which costs $199.99. This version includes all the items mentioned previously, along with additional merchandise. The Midnight Channel Edition features a unique Lenticular Midnight Channel TV box, a soundtrack CD, a display case, a metal Teddie statuette, a pin, trading cards, a shadow box depicting the All-Out attack, glasses, and a photo of the Investigation Team taken during the ending of Persona 4 Golden. Additionally, LRG will include an individually numbered certificate of authenticity with every purchase of the Midnight Channel Edition.

The time it takes for Limited Run Games to ship pre-ordered items can range from a few months to several months. According to the FAQ page on their website, standard editions typically take between four to six months, while collector's editions can take between eight to ten months. This means that fans will have to wait quite some time before they receive these editions, with the earliest possible shipping date being April 2024. Limited Run also offers other merchandise, such as a special Persona 4 Golden themed Nitro Deck accessory, hat, and shirts.
