Highlights

Persona 3 Reload introduces a new cast of voice actors for the characters in the social link system, enhancing the interactive social sequences.

The remake features fully voiced dialogue for rank-up sequences, making it the most voice-over heavy Persona game ever. The voice actor lineup boasts veterans from popular gaming and anime franchises, generating immense excitement among fans.

Atlus recently announced additional voice actors for Persona 3 Reload, specifically for the characters in Persona 3's social link system. This system includes interactive social sequences between the player and certain NPCs in the game. The original game served as a foundation for its sequels, with Persona 5's confidant system being a culmination of improvements. To align more with modern games, the Reload remake will revamp this system, resulting in one of the major differences between Reload and the original Persona 3.

According to the game's director, Persona 3 Reload will feature fully voiced dialogue whenever the player advances a rank in the social link system. With this enhancement, Persona 3 Reload will offer the most extensive voice acting in any Persona game to date. Previously, the original game did not include voice acting for these rank-up sequences, so players will have the opportunity to hear these characters' voices in-game for the first time. Atlus recently unveiled the cast list for these characters, all of whom are students at Gekkoukan High School, the same school where the protagonist attends.

These characters and their respective voice actors in Persona 3 Reload have all been confirmed by Persona Central on Twitter. The list includes Kenji Tomochika, the homeroom classmate; Nozomi Suemitsu, known as the Gourmet King; Kazushi Miyamoto, the athletic sports jock; Yuko Nishiwaki, the P.E. Team manager, and many others. The lineup of voice actors consists of experienced individuals from both gaming and anime franchises, some of whom fans may recognize. Notably, these actors have also lent their voices to renowned properties such as Genshin Impact, Fire Emblem, NEO: The World Ends With You, and Demon Slayer, among various others.

The new cast of Persona 3 Reload comprises talented individuals who have gained popularity in recent years, and their casting choices have been well-received. In the original game, most of these characters did not have voiced dialogue, so fans were eagerly anticipating how their performances would enhance the storytelling. Among them, only Chihiro Fushimi had previously been voiced, with Wendee Lee and Cassandra Lee Morris playing her in Persona 4 and Persona 4: The Animation respectively.

Fans were particularly excited to hear the performances of the new actors in Persona 3 Reload, especially with the addition of Joe Zieja, Paul Castro Jr., and Mark Whitten. Some fans even made crossover jokes between this game and Fire Emblem: Three Houses, as Tara Platt returns as Elizabeth, Chris Hackney portrays Jin Shirato from Persona 3's Strega faction, and Joe Zieja takes on the role of Kenji Tomochika. Incidentally, these three actors had previously portrayed the three house leaders in Three Houses. More members of the Social Link cast are expected to be unveiled before the remake's February release.

Persona 3 Reload launches February 2, 2024, on PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S.
