Get ready for an early Christmas present! 4K and Blu-ray copies of Christopher Nolan's amazing wartime film, Oppenheimer, are now available again. But hurry, they won't last long. Oppenheimer received rave reviews and was a box office hit when it premiered in theaters last summer. The movie follows the life of physicist J. Robert Oppenheimer, played by Cillian Murphy, and the fascinating story of the creation of the atomic bomb.

Thanks to the Barbenheimer phenomenon, the movie raked in over $950 million at the box office, no small accomplishment for an R-rated, three-hour film featuring lengthy black-and-white sequences.

It's evident that many moviegoers seized the opportunity to see Oppenheimer on the big screen, but the film also caused a surge in physical media sales, with multiple retailers reporting sell-outs of the movie in 4K Ultra HD and Blu-ray formats – until now.

Oppenheimer 4K Blu-ray is back in stock now

Oppenheimer 4K Ultra HD and Blu-ray discs are in stock on Amazon in the US right now, with each version, as well as digital, available for purchasing here.

Hurry up if you want to own a physical copy of Christopher Nolan’s latest work or gift it to a loved one this Christmas, as they are selling like hotcakes.

Recently, the discs have been selling out at multiple retailers, and steelbooks are being re-sold at extremely high prices, reaching as high as $200 on eBay. In response to this, a spokesperson from Universal Pictures stated, "We are pleased that so many consumers are embracing Oppenheimer in 4K Ultra HD, and we understand that some retailers may currently be out of stock."

Universal is swiftly replenishing the retailers so that fans can enjoy the film at home in the highest picture quality possible. Perhaps Nolan's earlier statement advocating for physical copies of movies influenced the urgency.

In an interview with IGN last month, he emphasized that when you purchase a 4K UHD or a Blu-ray, it belongs to you and no company can take it from you. He contrasted this with digital distribution, stating that ownership is not guaranteed in that case.
