Brian “Kato” Kaelin, who was a witness in O.J. Simpson’s 1995 murder trials, shared his thoughts on Simpson's death in a statement.
In a post on Instagram on Thursday, April 11, Kaelin expressed his condolences to Simpson's children, Sydney and Justin, as well as to Jason and Arnelle. He acknowledged the difficulty of losing a father and offered his sympathies during this challenging time.
He continued by expressing his love and compassion to the Goldmans, Fred, and Kim, hoping they find closure. He also sent his heartfelt condolences to the family of Nicole Brown Simpson, urging us to always cherish her memories as she was a beacon of light. May we never forget her.
In 1994, Simpson's ex-wife, Nicole Brown Simpson, and her close friend Ron Goldman were tragically found stabbed to death outside of her Los Angeles home.
Kaelin was staying in the guest house of the Simpson family when the murders took place. He was an important witness for the prosecution and claimed that he did not know where Simpson was at the time of the murders.
Following a slow-speed chase in a Bronco through the streets and highways of Los Angeles, Simpson was arrested and later charged with the murders. He was eventually found not guilty.

Simpson was later found responsible for causing the death and harm to Ron in a civil lawsuit brought by Ron's family. He was ordered to pay $33.5 million to the families of the victims.
News spread on Thursday about Simpson's passing at the age of 76 after battling cancer. In a statement shared through X, the Simpson family announced, "On April 10th, our father, Orenthal James Simpson, lost his battle with cancer. He was surrounded by his children and grandchildren. As his family navigates this difficult time, they kindly request privacy and understanding."
After the announcement of Simpson's death, Ron's dad, Fred, finally spoke out. He shared with We in a statement, "The only thing I have to say is that today is a further reminder of how long Ron has been gone and how much we have missed him. The only thing that truly matters today are the victims."
In February, there were reports that Simpson was receiving treatment for prostate cancer, although he never confirmed this publicly. When rumors started circulating that Simpson was in hospice care, he took to social media to deny them.
“Hospice? Hospice?! You talkin’ about hospice?” Simpson said in a video posted via X in February. “No, I’m not in any hospice. I don’t know who put that out there.”
