Baldur's Gate 3 players on PC with an Nvidia graphics card can now download a new Game Ready Driver to enhance performance. This latest GeForce driver not only benefits Baldur's Gate 3 but also offers a new feature on supported RTX graphics cards for two other games, Gord and The Texas Chainsaw Massacre.

Nvidia regularly releases driver updates every few weeks to optimize and improve game performance. These updates include support for new titles upon release or shortly after. The latest Game Ready Drivers arrive just three weeks after the previous ones, which added support for the RTX 4060Ti 16GB and enabled ray-tracing for Ratchet and Clank: Rift Apart and Portal: Prelude RTX (a remastered Portal community mod). While some Nvidia graphics cards may not support features like deep learning super sampling (DLSS), users with compatible GPUs can now select new options during their next play session of Baldur's Gate 3.

The latest version of Nvidia graphics card driver is 536.99. To download and install it, users will need 675.66 MB of available space. For this driver, users must have a GeForce 700 series card or a newer one. Once installed, Baldur's Gate 3 players who play at high resolutions will experience improved performance. Based on Nvidia's information, players using an RTX 40 series card, like the much-talked-about 4060Ti 16GB, will observe a performance boost of more than 40 FPS with DLSS 2 enabled in performance mode while playing Baldur's Gate 3 in 4K with Max settings. While Baldur's Gate 3 does not currently support DLSS 3, the RTX 30 series and higher cards can utilize DLSS 2 to some extent in Baldur's Gate 3, as well as in The Texas Chainsaw Massacre and Gord, with the latest driver update. Additionally, the driver version 536.99 includes fixes for Control, Battlefield 2042, and Dead Space.
