Nightwing gets a movie-inspired costume in Batman & Superman: World’s Finest
In Batman & Superman: World’s Finest #21, Nightwing makes a stylish entrance with a modified red and black costume that features a more bat-like chest emblem and a red utility belt. The all-black cape, though smaller than Robin's, adds another touch of sleekness to his look. This new outfit is clearly inspired by both his red New 52 look and the infamous 1997 movie version of the Nightwing costume seen in Batman & Robin.
The suit holds an even more intriguing backstory for longtime readers. For Kingdom Come enthusiasts, it marks the next chapter in the evolution of this iteration of Dick Grayson, who was not depicted as Nightwing in the original storyline. DC Comics' updated Kingdom Come costume for Nightwing serves as a bridge between his Nightwing persona and his alter ego, Red Robin.
After being Nightwing for over a decade, Dick Grayson took on a new identity in 1996’s Kingdom Come as Red Robin. Retired from the superhero business, Grayson left the crime-fighting to Nightstar, his daughter with fellow Teen Titan Starfire. The Red Robin costume bears resemblance to the traditional Batsuit with its red tunic, flowing cape, and a cowl design inspired by Michael Keaton. This updated Nightwing costume serves as a bridge, indicating that Dick has started to adopt some of Batman’s more dramatic approaches.

I am really excited to see Nightwing's new movie-inspired costume in Batman & Superman: World's Finest. The new suit looks amazing and it's a great way to pay homage to the character's history. I also like how the suit is a bridge between his Nightwing persona and his alter ego, Red Robin. This shows that Dick Grayson is evolving as a character and is willing to adopt some of Batman's more dramatic approaches. I can't wait to see what Dick Grayson does next in Batman & Superman: World's Finest and I'm sure fans of the character will be excited to see him in his new suit.
I think it's great that DC Comics is updating the Kingdom Come storyline for a new generation of readers. The original Kingdom Come was a classic and it's exciting to see how the story is being expanded upon. I'm also glad that Dick Grayson is playing a more prominent role in the story. In the original Kingdom Come, Dick Grayson was retired from the superhero business and had taken on the identity of Red Robin. However, in the new story, Dick Grayson is still active as Nightwing and is fighting alongside Batman and Superman. I think this is a great way to show how the character has evolved over the years.
