The battle prowess of certain characters in Nickelodeon All-Star Brawl 2 surpasses that of others, with Aang, Spongebob, Korra, Azula, Nigel, Reptar, and El Tigre emerging as the top-tier contenders.
Aang possesses formidable elemental abilities, although he requires time to reach his peak performance. Spongebob demonstrates remarkable strength in aerial combat, utilizing massive attacks. Korra exhibits exceptional agility and employs distinctive moves suitable for a fast-paced style of play. Azula excels as a hit-and-run character due to her lightning speed. Nigel relies on unconventional yet devastating combinations, while Reptar proves challenging to defeat due to his heavy moves and durability. Lastly, El Tigre showcases unlimited combos, made possible by rapid movement and powerful attacks. Each of these characters stands out in their own unique strengths and playstyles.
The long-awaited sequel to the highly popular Nickelodeon All-Star Brawl fighting game has arrived, bringing along a diverse and engaging roster of characters. However, it has become evident that certain characters are more formidable in battle than others. While it is still worth exploring the unique abilities of each combatant, there is a select group who clearly outshine the rest.
Compared to the Smash Bros. series, Nickelodeon All-Star Brawl places slightly less emphasis on balance and boasts a faster-paced gameplay experience. Consequently, a handful of fighters possess an overwhelming power that allows them to swiftly eliminate their opponents by knocking them off the stage.
7. Aang
Aang Has Some Pretty Powerful Elemental Moves Up His Sleeve, But He Takes A While To Warm Them Up
Despite being small in size, Aang possesses a wide range of formidable techniques in his arsenal. However, these moves require a few seconds to initiate, which is his main limitation. Nevertheless, if Aang successfully combines his elemental attacks, he can inflict significant harm and potentially eliminate a weak opponent from the stage in a single strike.
6. Spongebob
Despite having somewhat weak neutral moves, Aang compensates for this with his lightning-fast super. Additionally, he can unleash his water shield while airborne, delivering significant AOE damage to nearby opponents. While Aang does have a few drawbacks, he remains a formidable presence in any combat situation.
Spongebob Is The All-Rounder Of The Bunch Who Is At His Best While In The Air
Spongebob, the beloved character from the deep sea, was initially considered quite overpowered in the first game. Although he has been balanced in the sequel, his wide range of moves still makes him a formidable opponent. While Spongebob may not excel in controlling the neutral game like some of his peers, he becomes a true threat when airborne due to the sheer size of his attacks.
His karate slice and flip kick can hit multiple enemies if they are in close proximity, and it is difficult to punish him afterwards, making it an effective move to weaken opponents. Additionally, his neutral clap attack, although relatively weak, can quickly accumulate damage. While his Super Move may be a bit tricky to execute, Spongebob is still an exceptional all-around character, particularly excelling in aerial combat.
5. Korra
Korra's Mobility And Unique Moves Make Her An Excellent Character For A Fast-Paced Playstyle
Korra possesses remarkable agility, enabling her to swiftly maneuver across the stage with ease. Moreover, she can cleverly employ her own techniques to propel herself through the environment in distinctive ways. Central to her arsenal is the water dash ability, a move that players should prioritize in order to keep adversaries vigilant. This unique ability allows Korra to glide towards her opponent, effortlessly bypassing them and surprising them with an additional attack from behind.
Her spinning mid-air kick serves as a highly secure ability that not only safeguards Korra but also weakens her adversaries simultaneously. Additionally, she possesses a divekick, widely renowned as an immensely powerful maneuver in fighting games. Although Korra's charged attacks may lack the desired range and fail to impress, she remains an exceptional choice for those who seek a dynamic and fast-paced playstyle.
4. Azula
The Lightning Speed Of Azula Makes Her The Best Hit-And-Run Character In The Entire Game
Azula shares similarities with Korra in terms of gameplay, but there are a few key distinctions that make her more dependable when it comes to dealing consistent damage. First and foremost, Azula's remarkable speed stands out upon entering a stage. Even during regular sprinting, she is able to traverse the entire stage in a flash. This agility makes her an exceptional hit-and-run character, allowing her to swiftly engage in combat, secure kills, and withdraw from the fray.
Azula possesses a range of devastating moves in her arsenal. These include her leg drop, water projectiles, and a whirlpool attack that can pull enemies into its vicinity. Additionally, she has the ability to electrocute opponents, resulting in highly satisfying eliminations. Mastering her playstyle may require some effort, but in skilled hands, Azula proves to be a force to be reckoned with.
3. Nigel
Nigel's Arsenal Of Weird And Whacky Moves Can Make For Some Extremely Easy And Devastating Combos
Despite his unassuming appearance, Nigel stands out as one of the top contenders in Nickelodeon All-Star Brawl 2, mainly due to his exceptional and distinctive abilities. Among his impressive repertoire, the snap attack reigns supreme, effectively overpowering overly aggressive opponents by swiftly propelling them off the screen with devastating force. The impact is particularly potent if the target has already endured significant damage.
What makes it particularly potent, however, is the ability of the player to execute a Slime Cancel, allowing Nigel to effortlessly debilitate his foes and greatly hinder their chances of returning to the stage. Although his recovery is somewhat unreliable, Nigel possesses several multi-hit neutral moves and swift kicks to swiftly dispatch his adversaries when airborne, establishing him as a formidable contender whom skilled competitors will undoubtedly covet for competitive tournaments.
2. Reptar
With Powerful Heavy Moves, Tons Of Durability, And A Great Recovery, Reptar Is Incredibly Difficult To Take Down
Reptar embodies the "heavy" archetype in the game, akin to characters like Bowser or Ganondorf from Smash. However, his dominance is amplified due to the majority of the cast being smaller and more fragile. This grants Reptar an almost impenetrable force in the game. Although he possesses a rapid-fireball attack to harm enemies from a distance, it is his immense headbutt and tail sweep strikes that can swiftly overpower anyone who dares to approach him.
His exceptional recovery ability ensures that even if he is thrown off the stage, he can effortlessly return to seek retribution. Additionally, Reptar possesses a devastating slam attack that deals substantial damage when utilized above a group of opponents huddled closely together. While Reptar's slower movement may not appeal to all players, his robustness and wide-ranging attacks firmly establish him as the ultimate tank in the game.
1. El Tigre
Because Nearly All Of El Tigre's Attacks Chain Together, He Has An Endless Number Of Combos He Can Unleash
El Tigre, similar to Fox in Smash Bros Melee, possesses an undeniable resemblance when it comes to gameplay. Like the aforementioned character, El Tigre's overwhelming strength can border on being unjust in battles. His remarkable agility allows for effortless combos, and with an extensive repertoire of slashes and spinning attacks, he effortlessly ensnares multiple adversaries in a relentless assault, inflicting an immense amount of damage within seconds.
Due to his incredibly high speed, opponents find it challenging to immobilize El Tigre. Moreover, his recovery and special moves are specifically designed to propel him to safety across the stage. Adding to his impressive abilities, El Tigre possesses a charge attack that can juggle enemies, potentially allowing him to execute an infinite combo if the player is skilled and quick enough. Once El Tigre gains momentum, it becomes nearly impossible to halt his progress, making him a highly favored character in online modes of Nickelodeon All-Star Brawl 2.
