Neymar has notified Paris Saint-Germain of his desire to depart the club this summer. Ideally, he seeks a return to Barcelona; however, their financial difficulties make it challenging to envision their ability to afford him.
He still has three years remaining on his £25m per year contract. The uncertainty lies in whether he is leaving by choice or being forced out.
Being 31 years old, he is not considered a crucial player for the new head coach Luis Enrique as he establishes a fresh team.
PSG have been open to selling him in order to focus on building a younger, hungrier team.

Ousmane Dembele signed for Barcelona in 2017
Ousmane Dembele made no secret only a month ago that he was happy at Barcelona, but now he wants to leave for Paris Saint-Germain.
Dembele, who joined Barcelona for a whopping £135m in 2017 after his stint with Borussia Dortmund, expressed a strong desire to engage in conversations regarding a fresh contract amid his current agreement's termination in 2024. Speaking to Marca in June, the 26-year-old exclaimed, "I fail to comprehend the excessive speculation surrounding PSG. Perhaps it arises solely due to my French nationality."
"It's been going well so far. Barcelona has expressed interest in extending my contract until 2027, and my representative will be engaging in discussions with them. I am content playing for the team and living in Barcelona. Therefore, it will be interesting to see how things unfold."
