However, in Persona 3 Reload, the Shift mechanic allows the player to transfer this additional action to a different party member by pressing the left trigger. This mechanic is similar to P5's Baton Pass and adds a new dynamic to the gameplay.

Furthermore, Persona 3 Reload has implemented a revamped spell line, incorporating the Light and Darkness skills from Persona 5, namely Eiha and Kouha. In the initial Persona 3 and 4 versions, light and dark spells were restricted to instant kill variations known as Hama and Mudo. Persona 5 introduced Eiha and Kouha, which offered players the opportunity to utilize light and dark elements for standard damage output, rather than solely relying on insta-kill alternatives.

This spell rework aims to enhance the abilities of Ken and Koromaru, who specialize in light and darkness elements respectively. In the original game, their dependence on these two elements limited their effectiveness, and players often encountered difficulties when utilizing them against bosses due to bosses' immunity to insta-kill spells. By granting Ken and Koromaru these additional skills in Persona 3 Reload, it is anticipated that they will become more viable options to use, in conjunction with other improvements introduced in the remake.
