As My Adventures with Superman makes its debut this week, David Corenswet, the new Superman actor in the DC Universe, expressed admiration for his fellow DC actors. It's an exciting time for Superman fans as DC Studios is currently working on a new movie titled Superman: Legacy, set to be released in 2025 as part of the DC Universe produced by James Gunn and Peter Safran. Meanwhile, on the small screen, the legendary Man of Steel is about to make his latest animated appearance in My Adventures with Superman, featuring Jack Quaid as the iconic superhero.
After a lengthy development process, My Adventures with Superman is officially premiering tonight on Adult Swim, with episodes available for streaming on Max the following day. To show support for his fellow Superman actor, Corenswet responded to Quaid (via @HomeOfDCU) during a live stream with heartfelt appreciation.

What Is My Adventures With Superman About?
," Corenswet wrote, accompanied by a saluting emoji, in reference to My Adventures with Superman. Quaid responded with the same saluting emoji. Corenswet was hired in late June of this year to portray the new Clark Kent in Superman: Legacy, a film directed by Gunn and commencing production in 2024. Superman: Legacy will also feature Rachel Brosnahan as Lois Lane, with several additional roles yet to be cast. The upcoming animated series, My Adventures with Superman, marks the return of the Man of Steel to the small screen as the main character, following the success of Superman: The Animated Series, which aired from 1996 to 2000. This new iteration focuses on a young Clark Kent, who has recently moved to the bustling city of Metropolis. As Clark navigates his new surroundings, viewers will join him on a journey of self-discovery as he unravels the mysteries of his origin. This pivotal aspect of Clark's story will take center stage during the show's first season. Additionally, the series introduces iconic characters Lois Lane and Jimmy Olsen, as they too embark on their own professional endeavors.
The animated adventure was originally scheduled to air on Cartoon Network and stream on HBO Max (before it became known as Max). However, due to changes at Warner Bros. Discovery, My Adventures with Superman was ultimately moved to Adult Swim, with episodes premiering at midnight on Thursday nights. Excitingly, My Adventures with Superman has already been renewed for a second season, indicating that more episodes are in the works.
Interestingly, Superman: Legacy and My Adventures with Superman both focus on a younger version of the DC icon, even though the film will not cover the origin story. It's great to see Corenswet already expressing his support for his DC colleagues as he prepares to play Superman. With any luck, My Adventures with Superman will attract a whole new generation of fans as the Man of Steel returns to the small screen.
