It's a really strong start to the year for the service. A Plague Tale: Requiem not only received high reviews at launch, but it also received several awards in the months after its launch. Nobody Saves the World is a fun, procedural dungeon crawl with a great gimmick, and Evil West lays everything on the line with its fun action gameplay. It'll be interesting to see what Sony picks for the PS Plus Extra and Premium games for January 2024, but the sheer quality of this selection is undeniable.
Meanwhile, Evil West's story falls a bit flat, instead putting all of its emphasis on the action-packed gameplay. It's a bit short, but given that it's basically free on PS Plus, anyone who loves the supernatural, B movies, and fun gameplay may find it hard to ignore. Nobody Saves the World is a co-op RPG dungeon-crawler, where players are 'nobodies' who can change forms into other creatures for a fun time.
A Plague Tale: Requiem and Related Information
For the uninitiated, A Plague Tale: Requiem is a sequel to A Plague Tale: Innocence, and it's highly recommended that anyone who hasn't played the first game does so before playing Requiem (of course, it's possible to claim it and wait, however). The two games tell the story of Amicia and her little brother Hugo, as the two are hunted for the supernatural powers of the latter. Without going into spoilers, it's worth emphasizing that it's effectively a story-focused action-adventure game, and the story is top-notch.
