The official website and X (formerly Twitter) handle revealed the addition of more returning cast members and the main staff, building up even more excitement for the upcoming season.

Miyuki Sawashiro is set to return as Ayane Yano, one of Sawako's classmates, in the upcoming series. Yuko Sanpei will also be reprising her role as Chizuru Yoshida. Additionally, Yuichi Nakamura and Mamoru Miyano will be returning to the cast as Ryu Sanada and Kento Miura, respectively.

In Kimi ni Todoke season 3, viewers can look forward to the return of Yuki Ono, also known as Rensuke Kunigami from Blue Lock, in the role of Kazuichi Arai, as well as Aya Hirano playing Ume Kurumizawa. Earlier announcements confirmed that Mamiko Noto and Daisuke Namikawa will reprise their roles as Sawako Kuronuma and Shota Kazehaya, respectively.

New visuals for the respective characters have been unveiled, showcasing them in both their comical and everyday forms. Additionally, a discernible shift in artistic style is also evident, marked by an increased level of precision in the artwork.

Kenichi Matsuzawa leads Production I.G Studios, with Tomoko Konparu back to oversee the series' script. Notably, Michiko Yokote will co-write the series with him. The S.E.N.S music group is also set to return to compose the music for season 3.

Kimi ni Todoke season 3 aims to further explore the evolving relationship between Sawako Kuronuma and Shota Kazehaya, while also delving into the lives of their friends and supporting characters.
