After P.D. publishes her expose on Allison and the DA, Joe's position within his company is compromised, along with his plans to potentially sue his employers. As a result, his credibility takes a hit. Meanwhile, Allison's dreams serve as a warning of another unknown murderer, urging her to urgently convince P.D. to change hotels. However, P.D. dismisses her concerns as insanity and insists that the psychic leave before involving the police. Tragically, P.D.'s decapitated remains are later discovered. Despite the grim circumstances, Allison manages to gain access to P.D.'s room in an attempt to find incriminating evidence against Paxton, whom she firmly believes to be the true culprit. It is during this search that she stumbles upon P.D.'s phone, which the journalist often utilized as a voice recorder.

Campbell gained fame for her portrayal of kind-hearted characters in Party of Five and Scream. Her Sydney Prescott character in Scream has become a beloved Final Girl among horror enthusiasts.
