Natasha Lyonne traded in her naturally curly hair for a sleek blowout.
At 44 years old, the Poker Face actress proudly displayed her newly styled hair twice in the past week. She first showed off her freshly styled tresses at the Academy Museum Gala on Sunday, December 3, where she posed on the red carpet. Her red hair, reaching just past her shoulders, was perfectly parted to the side and straightened.
She was also dressed in a stunning white Miu Miu gown, with buttons down the front and suspender-like straps that cinched in at the waist and flared out in pleats at the bottom. Underneath the gown, Lyonne wore a sheer long sleeve top adorned with crystals. To complement her sleek new hairstyle, she enhanced her eyes with smokey gray eyeshadow, bold black eyeliner, and long lashes.
The actress and filmmaker hinted that her newly straightened hair might be a permanent change when she attended Elle‘s 2023 Women in Hollywood Awards on Tuesday, December 5, once again sporting sleek, blown-out hair. She wore her hair parted to the side, showcasing her choppy layers for the cameras.
For the event, Lyonne opted for a black sleeveless floor-length gown with lace detailing, paired with chunky silver bangles, a long chain necklace, a black ring, and gold nail polish. Her makeup included smokey eyeshadow, bold lashes, and nude lips, emphasizing her eyes.
Lyonne was among the many celebrities who graced the glitzy event, joining the likes of Jennifer Lopez, America Ferrera, Danielle Brooks, Eva Longoria, Greta Lee, Jodie Foster, and Lily Gladstone.
Lyonne's curly hair is well-known, but just before debuting her new hairstyle, she was seen with her natural curls while paying tribute to Macaulay Culkin at the Hollywood Walk of Fame ceremony on Friday, December 1. At the event, Lyonne looked laid-back in a long black dress with a white T-shirt underneath and trendy dark sunglasses.
Even though she is typically seen with her signature curls, this isn't the first time the Russian Doll actress has changed up her hairstyle. Back in April, she made headlines when she appeared in Variety with her hair styled pin straight.

During her interview with the publication, Lyonne mentioned her curly hair and how it might give a misleading impression of her personality.
"I have big, curly hair and a New York accent, so you might not think my OCD is as strong as it is," she told Variety. "But I am very precise and meticulous. I don't enjoy chaos or confusion; I prefer things that are well-organized and almost mathematical."
