My Hero Academia Chapter 409 spoilers
In Chapter 409, Bakugou takes center stage and has his time to shine. The chapter begins with a flashback of Bakugou's birth, with his mother Mitsuki smiling at her new baby and his father Masaru overcome with emotion. As the flashbacks continue, we witness Bakugou's growth and his behavior towards Deku, as well as his declarations about the strength of his quirk.
Having addressed that issue, we now shift back to the present, where Bakugou makes the decision to stop bullying Deku and proclaims, "Izuku, I won't bother you anymore."
It would be a moving moment, but it is at this exact juncture when All For One initiates his initial assault. Fortunately, Bakugou has some strategies of his own. He cries out "burst", causing an explosion that strikes AFO and causes him to tumble to the ground.
All For One is bewildered by Bakugou's lack of movement, but this state of confusion is short-lived. Suddenly, Bakugou propels himself toward AFO and starts to recount the previous events. In Chapter 406, Bakugou had strategically hurled explosive sweat drops into AFO's mouth and subsequently utilized them to launch a powerful attack using the "burst" command.
AFO is in disbelief as Bakugou outsmarts him, causing even more damage than he initially realized. As AFO prepares to attack once more, he shouts at Bakugou, "This is my story! You're just a side character!"
Instead, Bakugou launches another assault, using his Howitzer Impact attack to create a double-page spread of multiple explosions. AFO finds it difficult to defend against Bakugou's relentless attacks, causing him to question whether his quirks are malfunctioning due to his diminished physical form. "Has my body become too small and weak?!" AFO wonders.
This is when they discover that AFO has become a child inside the vestige world. Hawks then reveals his quirk vestige and explains that AFO’s anger is causing him to lose control over the vestiges and quirks.
“In the end, it was Shigaraki who caused your defeat,” Hawk explains, while All Might remarks that the collective physical and mental damage inflicted on AFO has finally paid off.
In the final double spread of the spoilers, the focus returns to the battle with All Might, Mitsuki, Masaru, and Yoichi watching as Bakugou ultimately defeats AFO. Bakugou then declares, "This is our story," coming full circle.
It's a triumphant moment, but fans should temper their excitement as they await the next chapter. Unfortunately, there will be a brief hiatus next week, so the wait may be a bit longer.
