Iman Vellani, known for her role as Ms. Marvel in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, hints at her return to the franchise following The Marvels. One of the most beloved new characters in the MCU from The Multiverse Saga is Kamala Khan, also known as Ms. Marvel, who had her own TV show in Phase 4. Vellani, the young actress, made her big screen debut in The Marvels in 2023, where she worked alongside Captain Marvel and Photon.
In a recent interview with Polygon, Vellani revealed that despite The Marvels not performing well at the box office, Kamala's journey in the MCU is far from over. Marvel Studios has assured her that she will be back, as she stated in the interview.
Ms. Marvel's Next Appearance in the MCU
I have received some assurance which is reassuring, but it is still limited. [laughs] They provide me with breadcrumbs, and I do my best to create a satisfying meal out of them.
Where Ms. Marvel Could Show Up Next In The MCU

The conclusion of The Marvels left fans wondering about the future of Kamala in the MCU. The most expected path would be a second season of Ms. Marvel, where Kamala can navigate her dual life as a superhero and a teenager. Yet, as of now, there is no confirmation from Disney+ or Marvel Studios about the renewal or cancellation of the show.
If Ms. Marvel season 2 doesn't move forward, The Marvels did start introducing the highly anticipated Young Avengers idea in the MCU. This could potentially be the next step for Kamala. By bringing the other Young Avengers characters together for a movie or TV show - with Ms. Marvel leading the way in recruiting other young superheroes - it could showcase her growth from the events of The Marvels. Now that other Young Avengers members exist in the MCU, the time may have come to see them unite.
However, it wouldn't be surprising if Ms. Marvel appears in Avengers 5 or Avengers: Secret Wars. As The Multiverse Saga nears its conclusion, the young hero could be one of many brought in to help safeguard the multiverse. Hopefully, following her journey in The Marvels, audiences will get the chance to see Ms. Marvel make her mark in the MCU soon.
