Misa Hylton, the mother of Sean “Diddy” Combs’ son Justin, expressed her support for Casandra “Cassie” Ventura.
Hylton shared on Instagram on Tuesday, May 21, that she is saddened by the fact that Cassie has to relive the pain of her abuse. She empathizes with Cassie's feelings as she has experienced similar trauma herself.
She mentioned that both she and Cassie are mothers who prioritize God and education in raising their children. They have always worked together to support their children's dreams. Hylton also highlighted the responsibility they share in supporting two of the children whose mother is not present.
She concluded, “Their father needs help and I am praying that he truly does the personal work and receives it.”
We has reached out to Diddy for comment.
Hylton and Diddy dated in the 1990s and had a son named Justin in 1993. Recently, Diddy publicly apologized after a video resurfaced showing him assaulting his then-girlfriend Cassie.
Diddy shared on Instagram on Sunday, May 19, that he finds it hard to revisit the difficult times in his life. He acknowledged hitting rock bottom and took full responsibility for his unacceptable behavior in the video. Diddy expressed disgust for his actions and made it clear that he was not making any excuses.

He shared, "I sought professional help, attended therapy and rehab, and prayed for God's guidance. I want to be a better person every day. I'm not seeking forgiveness, but I am genuinely sorry."
Diddy added in his caption, "I am truly sorry."
In a 2016 hotel security footage released by CNN, Diddy was seen grabbing Cassie by her neck and then pushing, pulling, and kicking her.
Cassie's attorney, Douglas H. Wigdor, stated on May 17 that the video further confirms Mr. Combs' disturbing and predatory behavior. He commended Cassie for her courage in coming forward to expose the incident.
Diddy and Cassie were in an on-again, off-again relationship from 2007 to 2018. In November 2023, Cassie made news by suing Diddy for sexual assault and physical abuse. Diddy denied the allegations but ended up settling the case the next day.
After Cassie's lawsuit, more people came forward with accusations against Diddy, all of which he denied.
