As of now, Street Fighter 6 players are unable to attain the Platinum trophy on PS5 or achieve all the Xbox accomplishments. Street Fighter 6 was released last month to widespread critical acclaim, being recognized as a triumphant return to form for the franchise and potentially the finest entry in the long-standing fighting game series thus far. Nevertheless, it has not been without its flaws.
While the game's online multiplayer has generally functioned well, Street Fighter 6 has experienced server complications and tournament-related issues. If tournaments were functioning correctly, players would have the opportunity to partake in these events by visiting the Event Counter in the Battle Hub and engaging in the competition. Regrettably, problems with the tournament mode have resulted in their unavailability, rendering it technically impossible for fans to unlock the game's Platinum trophy.
Street Fighter 6 offers three achievements/trophies that are associated with tournaments, providing players with the opportunity to unlock them. These achievements include Gazing at the Peak, earned by participating in a tournament, Steely Determination, obtained by participating in five tournaments, and Dominating Like a Ninja, achieved by winning 10 matches in Street Fighter 6 tournaments. While some players were able to successfully unlock these achievements during the availability of the tournaments, others will need to exercise patience until Capcom reintroduces this feature. As a result, unlocking the Platinum trophy in Street Fighter 6 will remain an unattainable goal for the time being.
There has been confusion regarding the Dominating Like a Ninja achievement/trophy in Street Fighter 6 due to its inaccurate description. Unlike what is stated, players are actually only required to win 10 matches within tournaments, rather than winning 10 entire tournaments. While this may still be a difficult task for many Street Fighter 6 players, it should not be the most challenging achievement/trophy to unlock in the entire game. Currently, the unlock rate stands at 0.01%, but it is expected to increase significantly when tournaments are consistently available in the game.
Tournaments will eventually make a proper return to Street Fighter 6, and fans can rely on Capcom to regularly release new content for the fighting game. With strong sales and continuous updates, Street Fighter 6 is expected to remain Capcom's flagship fighting game for years to come, featuring new characters, cosmetics, game modes, and other added content over time.
Street Fighter 6 is out now for PC, PS4, PS5, and Xbox Series X.
