9 Cory Blames Alex For The Deal With Paul Marks Falling Through
Cory, a shameless schemer, played a significant role in Paul's decision to sever ties with him and UBA. In episode 4 of The Morning Show season 3, Cory manipulatively blamed Alex for the collapsed deal with Paul, citing her abandonment of the Hyperion One mission. Although this did upset Paul, Cory cunningly acknowledges that his own actions were the catalyst for Paul withdrawing from their agreement. As per his usual modus operandi, Cory fearlessly shifts blame onto others in order to evade accountability.
8 Photos Of Bradley & Laura In Montana Were Leaked By The Hackers
Bradley and Laura were initially exposed when Cory leaked details of their secretive relationship to a tabloid in Season 2, Episode 6 of The Morning Show. However, due to a two-year time jump, it is unclear how open they were about their relationship during that period. After The Morning Show Season 2 finale, Bradley joined Laura at her ranch in Montana, where they seemingly took numerous adorable pictures together that were subsequently accessed and leaked by a hacker.
The leak provided Laura with the perfect opportunity to reach out to Bradley. Surprisingly, Bradley was unfazed by both her ex-girlfriend contacting her and the leaked photos. In The Morning Show Season 2, Bradley's journey of grappling with her sexual identity and the challenges of coming out played a significant role in her character development. However, a lot can change over the course of two years. The dynamic between Bradley and Laura remained particularly tense in Season 3, Episodes 1 and 2. Nevertheless, Bradley returned in Episode 4 with a noticeably different attitude towards her ex-girlfriend, following an episode in which neither of their characters appeared.
7 Mia's Secret Relationship Is With A UBA Photojournalist In Ukraine
In The Morning Show season 3's premiere, a major revelation is unveiled - Mia is involved in a clandestine relationship with a man abroad. Episode 4 confirms that this individual is Andre Ford, a photojournalist with a hidden agenda, reporting on the Russo-Ukrainian War in recently-invaded Ukraine for UBA. During this particular episode, Mia finds herself in a predicament when a devastating bombing endangers Andre's life, forcing her to confront the challenge of separating her work from her personal emotions. This struggle between professional commitments and personal affairs is a recurring theme among the characters of The Morning Show, and Mia is no exception.
André manages to capture crucial photographs that possess the potential to make significant headlines for UBA. However, releasing these images would expose André's whereabouts to the Russian Armed Forces, jeopardizing his safety. While Mia contemplates delaying their publication, she recognizes that broadcasting the photos could potentially result in increased international aid for Ukraine, ultimately saving numerous lives, despite the potential loss of the one person who matters most to her. Mia's difficult decision highlights why she is the head producer of The Morning Show, and hopefully, choosing the right course professionally will not bring about any adverse consequences in her personal life.
6 Alex Is Trying To Convince Paul To Reconsider A Deal With UBA
Despite the viewers' awareness that Alex is not truly to blame for the failed deal between UBA and Paul, she feels responsible. Motivated by her loyalty to the network that has consistently supported her during numerous scandals, Alex takes it upon herself to persuade Paul to reconsider the deal in Season 3, Episode 4 of The Morning Show, choosing to visit Coney Island for this purpose. Since her divorce in Season 1, Alex has not pursued any romantic relationships on the show. However, her time spent with Paul showcases the undeniable chemistry between Jennifer Aniston and Jon Hamm, potentially paving the way for a romantic storyline between their characters.
Furthermore, this development highlights the growth that Alex has undergone between Seasons 2 and 3 of The Morning Show. In Season 2, Alex harbored a deep resentment towards UBA and often neglected her responsibilities, causing her colleagues to scramble to keep the show running smoothly. Season 3 of The Morning Show addresses and attempts to rectify some of the issues from the previous season, and Alex's initiative appears to be effective, as the episode concludes with her and Paul arriving at Cory's after-party via helicopter.
5 Bradley & Laura Snuck Away At UBA's Party
Bradley attended Cory's UBA after-party with the intention of socializing with current and potential advertisers. To keep her company, she invited Laura, causing Laura to skip the NBN event where she was expected to be as a Your Day, America anchor. Despite missing out on her professional commitment, Laura happily chose to be with Bradley and seize the opportunity to privately explore Cory's house in the Hamptons. Initially, their time together was enjoyable and filled with flirtation, as they acknowledged their lingering feelings for each other. However, their conversation also shed light on the fact that their experience in Montana was not as happy as the leaked pictures suggested.
In episode 4 of season 3 of The Morning Show, it became evident that Laura and Bradley's story is far from over, despite them not being together currently. Laura managed to maintain a composed demeanor around Bradley for the most part, but there were fleeting moments of pain, anger, and jealousy. Conversely, Bradley opened up emotionally to her ex, expressing how much she missed her. Hopefully, forthcoming episodes will disclose the true events that transpired in Montana and led to their breakup, as they clearly hold different perspectives and emotions regarding the blame.
4 The Advertisers Humiliate A Waitress To Sign A Deal With Stella
During a lunch meeting with some prominent advertisers, Stella from The Morning Show experienced one of the most shocking and disturbing scenes to date. The focus seemed to shift away from the deal Stella was trying to secure and instead became centered on the advertisers' determination to exploit her for their approval. The encounter began with a challenge to Stella's alcohol consumption limits, as they wanted to see how much she could drink before reaching her limit. In response, Stella made an arrangement with the waitress, who happened to be another young Asian woman, to replace her gin with water. Just as it seemed that Stella had successfully completed the deal, the advertisers accused her of not drinking real alcohol. However, Stella refused to confess.
In a shocking turn of events, the advertisers attempted to take Stella's glass and, as a result, some of the water spilled onto the table. Seizing this opportunity, they offered to sign the deal and reward the waitress with a $20,000 tip, all at Stella's expense, if she licked the spilled water off the table. Although visibly uncomfortable, Stella urged the waitress to comply in order to salvage the deal, while enduring crude comments from the advertisers. Later, in the car on the way to the after-party, Stella broke down in tears about the incident. The Morning Show scene served as yet another disturbing example of the pervasive sexual harassment and abuse that often accompanies power, money, and influence.
3 Christina Is Fighting For Racial Pay Equality At UBA
In The Morning Show season 3, episode 3, Christina had a smaller role but still made an impact. Despite the change in leadership, racial disparity remains an issue that needs addressing. Christina emphasized the need for action to ensure fair pay and promotions for The Morning Show's employees. She reminded Leonard of her influence and ability to effect change through her public platform. Christina has become one of the most fascinating characters in season 3, fittingly taking Bradley's place as Alex's co-anchor due to their shared determination and fearlessness.
2 Cory Paid The Hackers To Keep Bradley's Video From Leaking
Private photos of Laura and Bradley may have been exposed by the cyberhackers in episode 4 of season 3 of The Morning Show. However, the intimate video of Bradley that they had threatened to release in episode 2 has not yet resurfaced. When Laura asked why, Bradley speculated that Cory might have secretly paid the hackers to prevent it from leaking. In response, Laura casually mentioned Cory's infatuation with Bradley, which irritated Bradley.
It remains unclear whether Laura is aware of Cory's declaration of love in the season 2 finale of The Morning Show or if either of them knows that Cory was the one who exposed their relationship to the tabloids. Nevertheless, it can be assumed that Cory played a role in their breakup, making it a sensitive subject for both of them. In episode 4 of season 3, he bluntly reminded Bradley once again of how much she owes him for whatever secret they are hiding, keeping the video from being leaked only increasing her indebtedness to him.
1 Fred Micklen Crashes UBA's Party
In The Morning Show season 3, episode 4, disgraced former UBA CEO Fred Micklen made a dramatic return by crashing Cory's after-party. Throughout the episode, Cory had been desperately trying to secure a much-needed loan for the network, only to discover that Fred has been secretly involved in the process. Accepting the loan would give Fred significant influence over the network, which he plans to exploit. On the other hand, rejecting the loan could potentially result in UBA facing financial collapse, leaving Cory and Stella in a difficult situation. While Alex might be able to salvage the situation with Paul, Fred remains a formidable threat in The Morning Show.
