Reportedly, WWE star Randy Orton allegedly paid $1,000 to fast-track the leveling up of his character in the popular game Elden Ring. Orton achieved an exceptionally high level of progression in the game last year.
Elden Ring, which was highly anticipated in 2022, received enormous acclaim by winning six out of the ten Game Awards it was nominated for. By February of this year, it had sold an impressive 20 million copies. The game has been praised by critics for its gameplay, immersive worldbuilding, and expansive open-world design. It has also sparked discussions among fans regarding its notorious difficulty level and steep learning curve. Notably, Elden Ring has even gained recognition from notable celebrities, including WWE icon Randy Orton.
The Insiderz, a popular Twitch channel hosted by the former WWE tag-team duo of Brennan "Mace" Williams and Mansoor Al-Shehail, unveiled the secret of Orton's level-up trick. Allegedly, Orton paid them $1,000 due to his struggle with the challenging game Elden Ring. Their task involved collecting a massive amount of runes, enabling Orton to quickly reach Level 100 and overcome some of Elden Ring's more difficult moments. Despite this strategy, Orton reportedly still enjoys the game but found certain aspects frustrating.
Initially, Orton claimed to have reached Level 527 two months after the game's release. However, it remains uncertain whether he accomplished the rest of the leveling on his own or relied on the extensive collection of runes. Comments on the matter were mostly amused, with one person even expressing their willingness to undertake the same task for $1,000. Another user mentioned that Elden Ring's level cap surpasses 700, suggesting that Orton could have achieved an even higher level if he desired. This would have been feasible, considering the numerous efficient spots for farming runes in Elden Ring.
Randy Orton's rapid progression in leveling up may give some of his fans and fellow gamers a reason to pause. However, it is important to remember that video games are primarily about having fun. Therefore, considering that he was not the only player who found Elden Ring's difficulty daunting, it is possible that he was simply trying to enhance his own enjoyment.
Elden Ring can be played on PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S.
