The long-awaited trailer for season 2 of Invincible has finally been released, and attentive fans have picked up on some intriguing hints that suggest a possible crossover.

Invincible's first season debuted on Amazon Prime Video in March 2021, but it has taken some time for the second season to arrive. Recently, franchise creator Robert Kirkman divulged that Angstrom Levy would be the main antagonist in Invincible season 2. Levy is considered one of Invincible's most formidable adversaries. Given the inclusion of the multiverse in the storyline, fans are now curious about which other characters may make an appearance in the show.

Fans have noticed intriguing hints in the recently released Invincible season 2 trailer at San Diego Comic-Con, suggesting a potential crossover with Spider-Man. This may seem unlikely since Invincible is not affiliated with Marvel or Sony, but there are valid reasons to consider this possibility. In the comics, Spider-Man and Invincible have crossed paths before, and a depiction of this crossover appeared on Mark's phone in the Invincible season 2 teaser released in January.

Towards the end of the trailer, all the voice actors for season 2 were revealed, including Josh Keaton, who previously voiced Spider-Man in Spectacular Spider-Man and even made an appearance in Across the Spider-Verse. Another intriguing factor is that Amazon is developing a show centered around Spider-Man Noir and Silk, potentially indicating that they might have the rights to pursue a crossover if Sony grants permission. Moreover, Invincible has recently acknowledged this theory on Twitter.

A fan commented on a recent post featuring the Invincible and Spider-Man crossover comic, asking, "What else are you hinting at?" The Invincible Twitter responded, stating, "I have no knowledge of what you're referring to!" Although this response doesn't confirm the theory, it has been enough for fans to believe in the possibility.

However, fans should avoid getting their hopes up for a Spider-Man and Invincible crossover in the upcoming season. Due to the increase in multiverse superhero movies, there has been a pattern of fans eagerly anticipating the appearance of specific characters only to be disappointed when it doesn't materialize. While all the necessary elements seem to align for this crossover to occur, it doesn't guarantee that it will.
