Brendan Wayne, the grandson of actor John Wayne, has been the main double actor for Din Djarin, also known as the Mandalorian. He has been portraying Mando underneath the armor since season 1 and often fills in for Pedro Pascal when he's unavailable. In Ahsoka episode 4, Wayne takes on the role of X-wing pilot Lieutenant Lander, assisting Hera and Carson. However, his time in the episode is cut short when Morgan Elsbeth's jump to hyperspace in the Eye of Sion takes him out. Despite being the perfect choice to portray Star Wars' gunslinger, Wayne doesn't have much of a chance to showcase his skills with his X-wing in Ahsoka due to Lander's quick demise. He has also appeared as Din in The Book of Boba Fett, particularly during seasons 1 and 3 of The Mandalorian.

Wayne's inclusion in Star Wars is fantastic news, but it raises the question of whether he also took on the role of Ahsoka's ally, Din Djarin. The series' timeline has been a bit confusing, originally believed to be running simultaneously with The Mandalorian season 3. However, Carson Teva's unexpected appearance has disrupted that timeline. Nevertheless, based on the storyline alone, there is a perfect opportunity for Din to step in. Hera and Carson are still engaging in unauthorized operations for the New Republic, and they have just suffered the loss of their entire backup team. Din and Carson had previously agreed that the Mandalorian would undertake undercover missions for the New Republic, making him the ideal person for Hera to reach out to for additional assistance.

This could potentially result in the appearance of Din Djarin and also introduce the character Garazeb "Zeb" Orrelios from Star Wars Rebels. Zeb has already made his live-action debut in the third season of The Mandalorian, hinting at his involvement in the Ahsoka series. Operating from the Adelphi Outpost, which is also where Carson and Mando work, Zeb may be convinced to join the effort and assist his newfound family if he discovers that their adversaries were successful in reaching Thrawn and Ezra's location and taking Sabine. Additionally, Din is already aware of the danger posed by Morgan Elsbeth and is an ally of Ahsoka's.
