Mikkelsen's casting as Thrawn in Ahsoka generated immediate excitement among fans. Having already voiced the character in Star Wars Rebels, his portrayal received widespread acclaim. The transition to a live-action series presents an opportunity for visually stunning set pieces that would not have been as impactful in CGI.
