Milly Bobby Brown Transforms from Stranger Things Star to Dragon Slayer in Damsel

Millie Bobby Brown is taking on a new persona as she portrays a dragon slayer in a fresh Netflix movie, signaling a departure from her well-known Stranger Things character.

Millie Bobby Brown skyrocketed to fame at a tender age, landing the iconic role of Eleven in Stranger Things at just 12 years old.

Brown has appeared in various renowned projects such as the Enola Holmes and Godzilla franchises following that. With Stranger Things coming to a close, it appears that she is eager to leave behind her teenage acting persona as she takes on the role of a fearless dragon slayer in Netflix's newest fantasy film.

Brown steps into a more adult role for Netflix’s Damsel

In a new teaser trailer released by Netflix, Brown stars as Princess Elodie, a young woman who is set to be married to a handsome prince.

However, the magical wedding takes a sudden twist when Elodie discovers she was merely wedded into the family with the purpose of offering herself as a sacrifice to the menacing dragon tormenting the kingdom.

Upon the conclusion of the ceremony, she is forcefully thrust into a cavern, face to face with the fearsome, fire-breathing creature, where her survival depends solely on her cleverness and determination.

Damsel was directed by Juan Carlos Fresnadillo, who is best known for directing the film 28 Weeks Later, and written by Dan Mazeau, who wrote the screenplay for Fast X.

Starring in the film are Angela Bassett as Lady Bayford, Robin Wright as Queen Isabelle, and Nick Robinson as Prince Henry. Damsel is scheduled to be released on Netflix in 2024. For additional Netflix content, please explore the options below:
