Millie Bobby Brown admits to being a “woke Karen” who leaves negative Yelp reviews, but she doesn't use her celebrity status for it.
In a recent podcast episode of “Table Manners with Jessie and Lennie Ware” on March 13, Brown, 20, shared that she uses a fake name when sharing her less than positive experiences with businesses.
She expressed, "I believe it's crucial, you see. My life has been filled with people criticizing me, so occasionally I feel the need to push back a bit."
Continuing, the Stranger Things actress shared an anecdote about a shopping trip with her fiancé, Jake Bongiovi, where they were approached by an elderly woman seeking assistance.
So, there was this elderly lady who approached me and asked, 'Do you know where the socks are?' She probably thought I worked there," she shared with the hosts. I replied, 'I'm not sure, but I'll help you find them.' I spent a good 20 minutes searching for the socks based on the size and pattern she described for her grandson.
After struggling to find the socks, I sought help from an employee who turned out to be incredibly unhelpful throughout the whole experience. Despite the lack of assistance, I persisted because it wasn't for me but for the sweet old lady trying to get a pair of hiking socks for her grandson. Eventually, I left a review about the situation with a chuckle.

The actress Millie Bobby Brown referred to herself as a "very woke Karen," emphasizing the importance of self-improvement. She mentioned that her fiancé, Jake, often gets embarrassed by her actions.
Brown shared that she makes an effort every day to avoid complaining and always strives to be her best self. She gave an example of how receiving the correct order, like a chicken sandwich, can make her day. If orders are incorrect, she speaks up, even if Jake is willing to settle for it. She believes in living life to the fullest and not settling for less.
Earlier this month, the star of the movie Damsel had more than just bad service to complain about. She recently addressed the controversy surrounding her changing accent.
In a TikTok interview with Max Balegde in March, Brown, who is from the U.K., explained, "I'm an actor. I grew up in the public eye and in America. When I'm on set, I adapt. I enjoy mimicking people. It's natural for me to pick up accents, especially when I'm with my fiancé or around people like Jimmy Fallon, who have very American accents."
