Millie Bobby Brown never fails to show off her radiant glow.
At the Glamour Women of the Year Awards red carpet on Tuesday, November 7, Brown, aged 19, captivated us with her stunning appearance. She wore a remarkable custom Louis Vuitton gown, elegantly showcasing a sleek black dress with a fitted bodice, a floor-length skirt, and a captivating open back. The gown was elevated with a halter top adorned with silver and gold hardware, adding a touch of glamour as it intertwined with the dress and encircled her neck.
To complement her ensemble, Brown accessorized with matching hoop earrings, a statement ring, and eye-catching nails featuring a 3-D black and white design with chrome embellishments. For her makeup, she chose a natural and soft look, enhancing her features with a subtle contour, rosy cheeks, feathered eyebrows, neutral eyeshadows, long lashes, and glossy lips. Her luscious brunette tresses were styled into an alluring updo, framing her face with loose strands.
Brown and her fiancé Jake Bongiovi made a stylish appearance at the event. Bongiovi looked exceptionally dashing in a black blazer, matching trousers, a white button-up shirt, and polished dress shoes. Brown was recognized as one of Glamour's Women of the Year, alongside notable figures such as America Ferrera, Halle Bailey, Brooke Shields, and Selma Blair.
During her acceptance speech, Brown opened up about growing up in the spotlight. (At age 11, she was cast as the character Eleven in Stranger Things.)
"For a span of eight years, my desire was to radiate brilliance, thrive, and liberate myself from the constraints others sought to impose on me," she expressed, elucidating, "I made a conscious choice to maintain a serene demeanor during interviews and refrain from uttering anything that could be misconstrued, simply because fear consumed me."
She remarked that her fiery and independent nature allowed her to quickly recognize that she was not concerned about others' opinions of her. She acknowledged that she was content with who she was and had the power to shape the life she wanted and the world she wanted to reside in.
As a concluding note, the actress delivered an inspiring message to young girls worldwide, reminding them not to allow themselves to be confined, rejected, or controlled by the expectations of others. She emphasized the importance of not seeking validation from others and shared a recurring advice from her Nanny Ruth: to never allow anyone to diminish their radiance.
"There wasn't a single dry eye in the house, including mine," Bongiovi, 21, wrote on Instagram alongside photos from the event. "Congratulations, sweetheart, you truly deserve it ️."
In April, Bongiovi went down on one knee and popped the question to Brown. They celebrated their beach engagement and shared adorable moments together. "I have loved you for three summers now, honey, and I want many more," Brown captioned images of them embracing each other, making a playful nod to Taylor Swift's "Lover."
