In episode 6 of "Migi & Dali," titled "Who Killed the Parent Bird?," Migi formulated a plan to get closer to Reiko Ichijou by adopting the persona of a toddler. Reiko, noticing Hitori's progress in her training, allowed Migi to join her children at the lunch table. During this interaction, Dali discovered that Ichijou had an aversion to his name and had a habit of wetting himself.
Later, upon learning that Hitori would be sent back to the Sonoyamas, the twin brothers determined to make a final effort to gather information. Migi disguised himself as his mother, Metry, and startled the members of the Ichijou family. This experiment led them to realize that Reiko and Akira, the parents, were innocent. However, Eiji's reaction to Metry as a ghost suggested that he may be the murderer.
