Michelle Yeoh and Jean Todt have exchanged vows and officially become husband and wife after being in a relationship for 19 years. Formula One driver Felipe Massa expressed his joy on Instagram, congratulating Jean Todt and Michelle Yeoh on their marriage.
Massa also provided a glimpse into the couple's wedding program, which recounted the story of how they met in Shanghai on June 4th, 2004. JT proposed to M.Y. on July 26th, 2004, and she happily accepted. After 6,992 days, on July 27th, 2023, surrounded by loved ones in Geneva, they joyfully celebrated this special moment together.
Yeoh, who recently won an Academy Award for her role in Everything, Everything All at Once, and Todt have chosen to keep the details of their intimate wedding private. In Massa's tribute, he shared several photos from the ceremony, where Yeoh looked stunning in a white blouse and matching skirt as she walked down the aisle. Later, she changed into a fitted lace gown for the reception. Todt looked dashing in a dark suit and blue tie throughout the occasion. In one photo, Massa stood proudly beside the couple as Yeoh held up her Oscar trophy.
Yeoh and Todt crossed paths during the actress' involvement in a promotional campaign for Ferrari, where Todt served as the CEO. Despite their passionate love affair and subsequent engagement, the couple didn't feel an immediate need to rush into marriage.

Last month, a source informed us exclusively about the couple's decision to extend their engagement. According to the insider, although they got engaged rapidly, scheduling a wedding became challenging due to their busy careers. They often playfully mention eloping and find joy in the anticipation.
Moreover, the source emphasized that the couple is confident in their relationship and fully devoted to each other.
Yeoh, who recently filmed the Wicked movies in London before the SAG-AFTRA strike and subsequent production pause, was previously married to businessman Dickson Poon from 1988 to 1992. Following her marriage, she took a break from acting.
"When I got married, I made a conscious decision to step away from acting," Yeoh informed Bustle in a March profile. "It wasn't because of pressure from Dickson and his family or anything like that — because in Asia, it is common for women to be expected to become a married housewife or mother as soon as possible and not work. However, at that time, I chose to leave because I am not good at multitasking."
She expressed admiration for actresses who were able to successfully balance motherhood, their career, and other responsibilities. She found it difficult to comprehend how she could maintain a fulfilling career while being married and having a family of her own. She eventually discovered she was unable to conceive, leading to her decision to divorce in order to avoid future bitterness. In Asian culture, having children is seen as an extension of oneself and leaving a legacy. Yeoh acknowledged the need to accept and navigate unexpected challenges in life.
