Mel B opened up about her romantic history, focusing on her former girlfriend Christine Crokos.
In an interview with Attitude magazine, Mel B, whose real name is Melanie Brown, shared that she was in a relationship with Christine for five years.
Despite their breakup, Mel B mentioned that she and Christine still maintain communication to this day.
Mel B, the Spice Girls singer, reportedly started dating film director Crokos shortly after her divorce from her first husband, Jimmy Gulzar, in 2000. Although she did not mention Crokos by name in the article, their relationship ended in 2006.
In the same year, Mel B began dating actor Eddie Murphy, with whom she has a daughter named Angel, who is now 17 years old. Following this, Mel B married Stephen Belafonte in 2007 but they eventually separated after 10 years. She also has a daughter named Phoenix, who is 25 years old, with her ex-husband Gulzar.
Mel B shared in her interview with Attitude about being a part of the LGBTQ+ community. She mentioned that she didn't initially define herself as bisexual or any specific label when it came to her sexual orientation. Mel B emphasized that she has always been open about her sexuality and doesn't feel the need to label it. She expressed her appreciation for the beauty of women, stating that she has always found them beautiful.
Mel B is now happily in a relationship with her fiancé, Rory McPhee. They have been together for three years before he proposed in October 2022. In an interview with Attitude, Mel B shared, "I’ve been given a few dates, but none we’ve said yes to yet. Only 30 couples a year get married [at St. Paul’s Cathedral in London], so it’s quite a thing."

Mel B shared exclusively with We earlier this year that all of her fellow Spice Girls members will be invited to her wedding. "Of course. They're my friends," she stated in January.
Mel B also opened up about her relationship with McPhee, 36, expressing her disbelief in love and trust due to a decade of abuse. She revealed, "I didn't want a relationship after all the damage to my self-esteem and confidence." (Mel B had accused Belafonte, 48, of abuse during their marriage, which he denied.)
Despite her fears, Mel B found comfort in her friendship with Rory, making her feel safe and supported. She shared, "I was scared to open up to anyone else, but with Rory, I already had a foundation of trust." Even though she had doubts, their connection felt genuine and right.
McPhee was praised by Mel B as the "best thing that's happened" to her. The singer expressed that the hairdresser helped her to "believe in love again and trust again."
On Saturday, April 20, McPhee joined Mel B at Beckham's 50th birthday party in London. Mel B wore a stunning red dress with a cut-out bodice and reunited with the Spice Girls for a spontaneous performance of their hit song "Stop."
“I mean come on,” Victoria’s husband, David Beckham, captioned footage of the surprise song via Instagram on Saturday, April 20.
