The lead actress for the upcoming film MaXXXine, Mia Goth, is facing a lawsuit from an extra on the film who has accused her of battery. Horror movie fans have eagerly anticipated the release of MaXXXine, the final installment of the X trilogy.

After the events of 2022’s X and Pearl, MaXXXine, portrayed by Mia Goth, will relocate to Los Angeles in the early 1980s to pursue her ambition of becoming a renowned actress after enduring a terrifying massacre.

Nevertheless, the film encountered production issues last year as a new lawsuit has surfaced, brought forward by a film extra who claims that Goth intentionally harmed him during a running stunt scene.

MaXXXine extra claims Goth kicked him in the face on purpose

During the shooting last April, background actor James Hunter claimed in a recent lawsuit that Goth intentionally kicked him in the head, causing a concussion, according to Deadline.

Hunter was hired for a three-day role as a "Dead Parishioner" for a film shoot. However, during the first night of filming, he had to endure several hours on the ground covered in fake blood and facing ants and mosquitoes. During one scene, Goth had to run over him a few times and even nearly stepped on him during the fourth take, prompting a report to both the second assistant director and Goth herself.

However, according to the suit, during the fifth take, Goth intentionally kicked Hunter in the head with her shoe and then proceeded to follow him to the bathroom, where she "taunted, mocked and belittled" him and "dared [Hunter] to do anything" about the kick.

Hunter stated that he had to pull over twice on the way home, and the next day the casting agency told him the production did not want him for the remaining two days. As a result, Hunter filed a wrongful termination claim against A24, the movie's production company, Goth, and Ti West, the director of the X trilogy.

Altogether, Hunter is seeking $500,000 in damages as he claims that Goth’s “outrageous conduct” was “calculated to cause injury and severe emotional distress.”

Editor's P/S

As a dedicated fan of the X trilogy, I am deeply disappointed and disheartened by the recent allegations against Mia Goth. The news of her alleged assault on an extra during the filming of MaXXXine is shocking and deeply concerning. It is crucial that such matters are thoroughly investigated and addressed appropriately, ensuring the safety and well-being of all individuals involved in the production.

The well-being and safety of all cast and crew members on a film set should always be the top priority. If the allegations against Mia Goth are proven to be true, it would be a severe breach of trust and professionalism. I hope that a fair and just resolution can be reached, and that appropriate measures are taken to prevent similar incidents from occurring in the future.
